I am working through the Opengl Bible 5th edition. Due to a recent hardware failure my primary machine is now an old laptop that does not support the opengl standard for my tutorial book. I have a headless server running Ubuntu 11.10 which has a capable graphics card. I would like to code though SSH and have my compiled program display on a monitor attached to the server. How would I go about doing this?

Paul's questions
I have a headless machine running Ubuntu Server. I would like to clone an existing windows xp install to a virtual machine then run that virtual machine on the linux box. I would then like to use windows RDC to log into the windows virtual machine running on the linux headless box.
Is this possible?
I have a remote machine running windows 7. It has two users. It has the default user with no password which is used for home theater purposes. I have a separate login I use for remote desktop. I would like to be able to be able to remote into my account and use a console command to start an application on the local login account.
Any ideas?
