Hello ServerFault members,

Please help me with this issue.

I am in very strange situation with my Xenserver environment. I am trying to mount the Dell EmC ( Vplex LUN ) to the Xen server HA and when I use the HBA connection I don't see the Lun.

here is the details about the environment.

XENSERVER POOL.

XENS001 & XENS002

VERSION: XenServer release 7.5.0 (xenenterprise)

Multipath ; Enable

when I choose the HBA and probing for the LUN I don't see the Drive and it works perfectly works if I choose FCoE.

Because of some disaster I have lost my primary domain controller and thanks god that I had secondary domain controller so I could provide the service to the computer and save my data. After that I have seized the all 5 FSMO roles to the secondary domain controller and deleted the crashed primary domain controller from Active directory and site and services. Now I want to have another domain controller to have security in future . So my question is can I keep the same IP and Host name as crashed domain controller and join the domain and promote it as domain controller or I do need to use another domain name and IP. Thank you guys for the help.

Any tips will be helpful for me

My Topic is Migration of 2008 R2 domain controller to 2012 R2 (All domain Controllers.)

Current Set-up.

I have 3 Domain Controller.

  1. DC2008r201: Running As PDC and DNS Installed.

  2. DC2008r201. Running as DC and DNS and DHCP Installed.

  3. DC2012R201: Running as AD DC and DNS.(Windows server 2012 R2 server)

I am planning to move the DHCP Roles from DC2008r202 to the DC2012R201 server and then Remove the DC2008R202 Server from the Domain.

  • Adjust all network device and for DHCP Relay Agent and Remove the DC2008R202 Server.
  • Create One More New DC2012R202 Server and Move the PDC Role to The New Windows server 2012 R2 server.
  • and also Remove the Last Legacy Server from the Domain. This whole process looks totally fine if i imagine but before i start to remove the legacy server's and update the forest , funcation and domain level to 2012

But There are Few COncern , which i wanna discuss.

  1. What will be with the Computer and Server , who were Assigned the Static IP Address and Static DNS Server's ?
  2. Do I have to go and check all this server's and Change this All settings with New Domain Controller.
  3. Can i update my Schema , and Functional and Domain Level to the Windows server 2012R2 ?
  4. What all things i need to be careful while i am updating the Forest and Functional Level to windows Server 2012 R2.

Please Share your Views , Thank you so much for your Advice.

I have a problem Installing the Blade HP Proliant BL685c G7 into the Blade server C7000 encloser G7. i want to install Windows server 2012 R2 on the new Blade but when i boot from the Bootable USB i get the ERROR, as Mentioned Below This is the Error When i boot the New Server, Please Click here can some Share the Way to configure and install the New Blade in the Encloser.

i have tried to look for all Possible Docx but couldnt help myself , it will be really good to have any Help.

I need little help for deleting all the user profile form the Computer within my domain. if user is not logged in to particular computer for Than x Day in my case 60 Days.

i have tried with default Domain policy from windows server 2008 R2 but it doesn't seems to work.

can someone please suggest any Idea , how can i achieve it?

I am facing a error after changing the AllowOveride to ALL and then i get internal server Error.

<Directory /var/www/>
    Options Indexes FollowSymLinks
    AllowOverride All
    Require all granted
</Directory>

Can someone please Help me out from this Situation. I have .htaccess file in the /var/www/html/projecroot folder and having issue with Internal Navgation of project.
