I am trying to do cuda development in an ESXI environment, so I installed a Quadro 5800 in my ESXI machine (Dell T7500). I did passthrough to the Windows 7 VM that I will be doing development in, but when I run GPU-Z or a cuda program, CUDA is not detected. What could be causing the GPU to show up in device manager, but not function as a CUDA device?
I installed the CUDA development tools which include the driver. Later, I will be trying to install windows directly on the system to see if it functions correctly.

Edit: I tested the GPU in a windows install directly on the machine and it functioned correctly. This leads me to believe it is a problem with the passthrough.

I have a piece of machinery that has a static IP in the range of 169.254.. and can not be changed. I need to access this from another network. My thought is to use a router, and have the WAN port be the 192.168.. device and the LAN port be the 192.168.. device. I have tried configuring a router with the LAN address of 169.254.1.1 but it does not like this IP address. What else can I do to accomplish this NAT?

I have an ESXI environment that normally only uses 10-25% of its CPU power. Is it possible to create a VM and allow it to use all of the extra CPU power? If another VM started using more, I would want the extra computation VM to throttle so the performance of critical VM's would not be affected.

I have a server that has a single power supply that it is plugged into the wall. I want to transfer the server over to a UPS power supply for redundancy but do now want to power off the server for the move. The UPS is plugged into the same power source (phase) as the computer is powered on. Is there a way to do this?

I am looking to install the free version of ESXI on my server but am possibly upgrading it in the future. I currently have 1 CPU and 48GB of RAM. I would be looking to add another CPU and memory for it. Would ESXI be able to handle the upgrade or would I have to reinstall it so it could see the 2nd CPU?
