I am using the Jenkins Pipeline plugin to build commits on my GitHub repository. However, while I do trust the people on GitHub enough to make commits on the repository, the server is shared infrastructure across multiple projects, and I don't want to give them effectively root access to the slaves.

I see that the plugin will block Jenkinsfile changes from Pull Requests. Is it possible to configure similar functionality for all Jenkinsfile changes?

Note that some of these people are owners on the GitHub organization, so the fix must be on Jenkins and not on GitHub.

I've been looking into using Kubernetes on Google Compute Engine. I have pods with configuration that needs to be deployed to them. Currently, I'm using a persistent disk to do this. However, as a persistent disk cannot be mounted more than once it cannot be used to deploy configuration if I use more than 1 pod.

What is the best way to do this? ConfigMaps won't work as I need to deploy a directory structure as configuration. The only solution I can see is rebuilding my docker container every time I need to change my config. Is that really the best way?

I've finished work on a machine's docker setup, and now would like to remove the extra images I'm no longer using to reclaim that disk space. However, the following command I've located returns nothing, even though there are easily 20+ images without a container:

docker images --filter "dangling=true" -q

Is this a recent docker change that I'm not aware of?

I have an installation of Jenkins on my server I use for continuous integration of a beta website. The configuration is pretty simple, I just use the proper directory in /var/www/ as the workspace, and Git with the Git plugin for source control.

I recently installed CSF on the server, and it keeps reporting the temp files Jenkins is making are 'suspicious'. Here is a log of the most recent report:

The file in question appears to legitimately be an executable file. My question is, why is Jenkins creating temporary executable files?

Note: The server is 100% PHP based, Jenkins should not create any executables from it!

The files seem to be created whenever Jenkins builds a project, even though the build step just puts the password into the correct config file. Nope, they randomly pop up around twice an hour or so.
