I have an issue when synchronizing my Dynamics AX 2012 data dictionary with the SQL Server.

It is giving errors on a variety of tables/views, complaining of no valid runable code. The problem is, I've deleted all the offending objects from the AOS. I also checked the SQL Server, and they are not present on there either.

Not really sure to turn next. How do you fix an item that doesn't exist?

Trying to configure web replication, and running into a number of issues.

When running replisapi.dll?Diag, I receive the following errors:

CLSID_SQLReplErrors FAILED 0x80040154 

replrec.dll classes FAILED 0x80040154

I tried copying replrec.dll from the SQL Server to the IIS server and registering the DLL, but then the call to ?Diag hangs, and just says "Waiting" indefinitely.

I also tried using the Configure Web Replication Wizard on the publication, with no luck.

Server 2012 for both the DB server and IIS server SQL Server 2012 IIS 8 SQL Connectivity Components are installed on the IIS server SQL Management Studio is installed on the IIS server

Any suggestions?

I am seeing continuous Business Connector errors in the event log. Third-party applications that use the Business Connector will completely crash whenever they try to access anything in AX.

If I stop all services, except for Microsoft Dynamics, the flow of errors in the event log does not slow down, so I believe the problem is in AX itself.

Here are the two most common errors:

 6.0: Unable to connect to an Application Object Server. A company name or server name     
 may not be specified correctly in the client configuration, or the server specified may    
 not be available. The specified resource type cannot be found in the image file

There are literally hundreds of these in the course of just a few minutes.

Enterprise Portal is installed, and appears to be working.

I've also completely re-installed the AOS, Business Connector, and Client; and also upgraded to CU7. No change so far.

Any suggestions?

If you have installation checklist items wanting attention (full compile, synchronize, etc.) sometimes AX 2012 will boot to basically a blank gray screen with no options or navigation on it.

I ran into this once before, and there is either a command-line switch or hotkey you can press to ignore waiting checklists and go ahead and boot to the user interface. Unfortunately, I must not have written it down.

Anyone remember the secret?

We have a Windows Server 2008 R2 machine that ends up being replicated multiple times a week for development purposes.

Each time the server is replicated, the machine name changes. This completely kills SharePoint, and since the alternate access mappings are no longer correct--fixing it is no easy task.

Is there a good way to sysprep/replicate a server that is running SharePoint without having to fix everything each time?
