What could explain the following scenario?
One of the two recognized 500.81 GB disks is out of space and I need to expand it. When I deallocated the VM to make the change, I saw the disk was already twice what Windows is recognizing.
We are setting up ADFS for identity federation with a Microsoft Online service. The documentation states that "Groups without a displayname will NOT get synchronized..." We have over 250 groups that have a blank displayname attribute.
Does anyone know of a way to set the displayname attribute to match the cn attribute for all groups where the displayname is blank?
We have Exchange 2003 SP2 and use ActiveSync for our mobile devices (iOS and sever Android versions). Everything works except for GAL lookups and we've confirmed that the devices and client versions we are trying it on are supposed to support it. The symptom is different depending on the client, but there is never an error. In a nutshell, lookups return no results. This was working previously and we aren't sure what has changed.
Are there logs in Exchange or IIS that will allow me to see GAL lookup transactions? Could it be a GAL permissions issue? (No issues with GAL in Outlook) Could it have been caused by upgrading our DCs to 2008 and increasing the forest/domain functional levels?
We have an ASA 5510 at the edge of our network connected to a 10Mb Internet pipe. All internal IPs are private so we have external and internal interfaces. I'd like to prevent any single internal host from consuming more than 75% bandwidth on the outside interface. I realize that this would only help under specific combinations of usage by hosts, but it will meet our needs for now.
Is the ASA 5510 capable of this kind of throttling?

We have a Cisco ASA 5510. We use split tunneling for AnyConnect SSL VPN clients. All internal addresses are tunnelled. Everything else is routed through the client's own internet connection.
We use a SaaS service that only responds to requests when they come from one of our own public IP addresses. Because of this, VPN users are unable to access it currently. Is there a way to specify that a specific website should be tunneled and all others should not?
NOTE: Worst case we will use a web bookmark on the clientless portal to tranlate through our network, but I'd like to see if the above is possible first.

Attempting to install WSUS 3.0 SP2 on a Windows Server 2003 Enterprise system. I'm asking the setup to create a new database on one of our existing SQL Server 2005 systems. When the setup gets to the "configuring database" step it stops and throws "There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor." The two logs it suggests I look at are below. I'm not seeing any errors that mean anything to me.
Any direction you can give will be greatly appreciated.

In Blackberry Enterprise Manager it says our server is at 4.1.6.10, but there is no indication of service pack level. I'm going through the upgrade guide for version 5 and it says we need at least 4.1 SP3 to upgrade. Where can I find this information?

Online Backup (disk-to-disk)
Site #1 has a server running Symantec Backup Exec 12.5 with four 1TB USB 2.0 disks. BE jobs for full backups run nightly on all servers in site #1 to these disks. Site #2 backs up to a central file server there using software they already had when we purchased them. A BE job pulls that data nightly to site #1 and stores them on said disks.
Off-site Backup (tape)
Connected to our backup server is a tape drive. BE backs up the external disks to tape once a week which gets picked up by our off-site storage company. Obviously we rotate two tape libraries, one is always here and one is always there.

Storage
DroboPro at each site with an initial 8TB of storage (these are expandable up to 16TB at present). I like these because they are rackmountable, allow disparate drives, and have iSCSI interfaces. They are relatively cheap too.
Software
Symantec Backup Exec 12.5 already has all the agents and licenses we need. I'd like to keep using it unless there is a better solution, similarly priced, that does everything BE does plus deduplication and replication.
Server
Because there is no more need for a SCSI adapter (for tape drive) we are going to virtualize our backup server as it is currently the only physical machine save for SQL boxes.
Problems:
And Finally, the Question:
Is there any software out there that does deduplication, or at least compression, to handle just our site-to-site replication? Or, looking at our setup, is there any other solution that I am missing that might be cheaper, faster, better?

UPDATE 2:
I've set a bounty on this question to get it more attention. I'm looking for software that will handle replication of data between two sites using the least amount of data possible (either compression, deduplication, or some other method). Something similar to rsync would work but it needs to be native to Windows and not a port involving shenanigans to get up and running. Prefer a GUI based product and I don't mind shelling out a few bones if it works.
Please, answers that meet the above criteria only. If you don't think one exists or if you think I'm being to restrictive keep it to yourself. If after seven days there is no answer at all, so be it. Thanks again everyone.

We currently have about 150 seats and growing. Our IT staff is very small so we need an efficient and accurate way to handle the provisioning of new-hires with equipment, software, credentials, etc. We have several different businesses and departments each with their own software/hardware needs.
The way it works now: When a person is hired, we end up sometimes with several work orders in our Help Desk system requesting various resources. HR manager requests security badge and phone extension. Hiring manager requests phone extension and computer setup. And on and on. Invariably, the hiring manager forgets an app or printer that the new user will require and we are constantly going redoing work.
I'd like a way for the HR manager to start the process and pass buck along to each manager in the chain to check off what the new-hire needs. This would then be submitted to IT. That way there is both a record of what was requested and a checklist for what we need to do. It would also be nice for this same form or software to store what that user was setup with for future reference.
Does anyone have the same problem we do in this regard? How have you solved it? What technology-based solutions have you used?
NOTE: We would be willing to purchase software if its out there but a plug-in for SharePoint or something similar would work too.
