I got a second modem to use with a second internet provider for my small business. To install that second modem on my network, I purchased a Dual Wan Router to take care of the load balancing.

Here is my setup (in yellow are my 2 new pieces of equipment):

Previously, all was on subnet 3, no worries, but now it's 3 different subnets. DHCP is enabled on both Modems now, they provide an IP to the Router Wan ports, right? I want to know if this is correct, I am worried that the DHCP from both modems (subnet 1 and 2) will interfere with my DHCP server on subnet 3?

We have 10 phone extensions that instead of gettings messages on the phone, we configured the Avaya IP Office to forward messages to a specific email for each extension. The SMTP server adress is specified in avaya settings and a local Windows server IIS 6.0 SMTP service. This has been working well for years.

Since yesterday the emails are no longer being sent. I rebooted the Avaya system a few time, and everytime the emails work for the 5-10 first minutes. I am in the dark here. How do I diagnostic this problem, I am not sure what I am looking for?

• I rebooted the Avaya Switch at least 4 times, same results
• I rebooted my DC/DNS/SMTP server
• I tried to look at SMTP logs, Firewall logs, Event logs
• I am able to ping the avaya switch, it's on the same subnet
• The SMTP seems to work, whenever I put a file in my SMTP C:\inetpub\mailroot\Pickup it is sent right away.

Any suggestions?

I want to add another user rights to manage all domain computers. I created a group in AD called ITAdmin and added myself and this user in it.

Then I added this group to several other groups like :

• Users -> Domain admin
• Users -> Enterprise admin
• Builtin -> Administrators

He still can't manage domain computers...

Do I have to add this group in the domain "Managed by" property ? Did I forget a group ?

I have a Windows Server 2012 R2 that is my domain controller. I want to disable the password complexity rule for a few users only. I have created a group (called Formation) in AD to identify these domain users. I have defined a GPO in an OU to disable the password complexity rule, and I have assigned my new group to this GPO.

I was hoping this would work, but when I go (on the same server) to manage the users in AD, I try to initialyze the password, but I still get the error message saying the password complexity rule was not followed.

I tried to run gpupdate /force but no success... What else should I look for to fix this?

The password policy is a computer config and I want to apply this to users, is this part of the problem?
