How can I backup and restore mailman list ?

Our server was hacked, We plan to reload OS. We are having mailman list in server.

I'm new to mailman, It's urgent to backup and restore mailman list.

I've googled and checked this serverfault question, They discussed about how to change mailman list from one domain to another one. But here I'm going to just backup and restore.

Please help me to solve this,

i am using RedHat Enterprise Linux 5.1. When i use add-remove software in application menu, i think, that i wrongly uninstalled something. so after reboot that menu item missing.

Also i can't use system-install-packages in terminal.

When i double click rpm package it open as archive.

And i specifically open it as software installer by open with other application, it saying error /usr/bin/system-install-packages missing.

Help me to solve this problem ...

I have Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5 LAN server with Squid 2.6 stable proxy settings.

Under this have some Windows XP desktops.

Now I installed FileZilla FTP client in Windows XP, to service my client's websites.

But I can't connect FTP servers through FileZilla.

I set generic proxy too. (HTTP/1.1 USING CONNECT method.)

I get an error message,

Status: Connecting to (ftp hostname) through proxy

Status: Connecting to hostname:port...

Status: Connection with proxy established, performing handshake...

Response: Proxy reply: HTTP/1.0 403 Forbidden

How can I solve this problem?

How to store the keystrokes of clients (Windows Xp) on a linux server (RHEL 5)?

I want to monitor my employees every action in office at working time,

  • Keystroke Recorder Application
  • Activity Recorder
  • Record keystrokes typed in any chat, internet messengers or e-mail clients
  • Clipboard Monitoring Screen shots
  • Maker Sends logs to email

How can I do it?

How can i grep a nearer word from a file ?

E.g 

04-02-2010  Workingday
05-02-2010  Workingday
06-02-2010  Workingday
07-02-2010  Holiday
08-02-2010  Workingday
09-02-2010  Workingday

I stored above data in a file 'feb2010',

By this commend i stored date in one variable date=date '+%d-%m-%Y'

if date is 06-02-2010 , i want to grep "06-02-2010" with Workingday

and want to store the string "Workingday" in a variable

  • How can i do this ?

  • Is there any other option ?

How can I make network installation (for install Windows XP) from Linux (RHEL 5 Server)?

  • There is an option in Linux server to install client machine with Linux by network installation.
  • As same as Windows server have option to install client machine with Windows operating system.

Now I want to know steps for
