I've read that you cannot boot from the VHD backups that Vista Ultimate / Server 2008 creates. However you can mount them with vhdmount.
So if you can't boot it then what good is the VHD backup over a regular compressed file backup and system restore?
I have a piece of software that doesn't have a USB driver for x64. I was hoping to use VirtualBox , VirtualPC, or VMWare in order to have an x32 Windows which would allow me to continue to use the software. However, I find that if the host can't use the USB then the client can't either.
Do emulators solve this issue? I've used QEMU before but I read that the hardware support in VirtualBox was based on QEMU so I wouldn't expect it to work.
Any suggestions? Does anyone have this scenario working?

My php.ini file is residing in both my c:\php and my c:\windows I've made sure it has read permissions in both places from network service.
I've added various registry settings, Environment Variables and followed multiple tutorials found on the web and no dice as of yet. Rebooted after each.
My original install was using MS "Web Platform Installer" however I have since rebooted.
Any ideas on where to go from here would be most welcome.
