I had to change the tmpdir directory from /tmp to /db/tmp/ folder due to the fact I didn't have enough space. When I changed my path and I ran SHOW ENGINES; I got below result;
But, when I changed the directory back to /tmp my Innodb engine came back. SHOW ENGINES;
Does anyone know why MySQL is acting strange like that? This is a show stopper for me and causing my production server to crash.

I am writing code to extract the IP address and username of all slave servers in a MySQL replication environment.

I have problem connecting my slave to master. In past it was working fine and since I restart my master then slave cannot connect.
I checked the slave user on master all good. Everything on slave is the way it suppose to be. But every-time I start the slave my IO Thread is not connecting to master.
Any idea?
I had a master with two slaves replicating. I added two more DBs in my.cnf for replication and did the standard procedure like lock the table for read, back up and restored the DBs to slaves. Now I am trying to restart my master MySQL server and getting error:
MySQL manager or server PID file could not be found! [FAILED]
Starting MySQL.Manager of pid-file quit without updating fi[FAILED]

I have the file /usr/local/mysql/var/mysql-bin.index and it does exist but /usr/local/mysql/var/mysql1.sitelms.org.pid file does not exist. Can someone help me? I don't know what happened here.
I am trying to write a script to parse the MySQL slow query log. I have seen 1 or 2 parser. does anyone know how to extract the information from that log? I mean does anyone know the structure of the file so I can work with that and if anyone know a good parser for this log file?

I am pointing the crawler to a folder where there are html files. before the crawler was crawling the files and indexing them but right now it finds the pattern or the folder but not following any html files within the folder. I have tried everything I could and know but, can't think of anything else.
I have installed apache 2.2 and php 5.3. when I run a simple php code like
<?php phpinfo();?>
instead of the simple php information page the code shows up on the screen. My php it seems is not running.
How I can enable it and makes it to run with apache. btw. I am newbee

I have followed installing openLDAP from http://www.openldap.org/doc/admin24/quickstart.html and follow the tasks up to # 9. when I run [ su root -c /usr/local/libexec/slapd ] it asks for password and after I type the password no indication of if server has been started or not. When I run [ ldapsearch -x -b '' -s base '(objectclass=*)' namingContexts ] I get this error [ ldap_sasl_bind(SIMPLE): Can't contact LDAP server (-1) ] I can't figure it out what is the problem. Can anyone help?

I have mapped my apache to the root /var/www/vhosts.
If I put there files/folders, I see them and can surf to them.
But, If I put symlinks in /var/www/vhosts I get 403 - no permissions.
I have the following directives for this folder:
