I connect to mysql client using the command

mysql -uroot -p

And I execute queries there. If I press the up arrow, i could see the history of almost all the queries there. Where will this query log be stored.

I found a log file under /var/log/mysql/mysql.log and I indeed see some logging happening there. But it has queries from other users as well. However, I only need queries executed by the specific user (root in this case). How to get it? Please help me.

Note: I need to debug some logs, so a solution to filter these logs with the existing setup would be great.

I am having a bunch of HTML files getting generated everytime when I run a periodic task in my server. All I want to do is to display the index.html through a webserver. All the links in the index file are linked within that directory. How to do this efficiently. I don't want the server to be robust. I want to hit something like this at the end

http://myservername:1234/index.html

I am trying to connect to a remote mysql database from my local box. Initially I was not even able to hit the mysql db. But after commenting the binding_address in the my.cnf file and restarting the mysql server, I am now able to hit it.

But now, I am getting an Access denied error

mysql -u root -h x.x.x.x -p
Enter password:
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'x.x.x.x' (using password: YES)

Is my IP being blacklisted or something? I can change that since I have admin permission on the remote box. Somebody help me.
