I have two HP NC523SFP 10Gb 2-port (1 on a HP DL380e Gen8 and the other on Dell PowerEdge 2950) both systems have Centos 7, the cards are detect and are running the same firmware. I have connected directly the servers with 10Gtek SFP-H10GB-CU2M cable which according to some other posts found online looks compatible (I've tried also with 10Gtek SFP-H10GB-CU2M cable) but the problem is that the link is not detected between the two cards.. On the other two slots of these cards I have the fiber adapters 10Gtek AXS85-192-M3-Cisco2 these are connected to a Cisco switch with an LC-SC fiber cable but neither these gets the link detected. Here the ethtool output from both servers:

What can I check? I have tried to force the link speed but I get "Operation not permitted" I noticed that on the Dell the copper cable is detected as "Port: Other"

I have an HP DL380e Gen8 with P420 RAID controller it was powered on 24h per day at my previous job for 7 Months without any issues running a few VMs. After changing job I had the server at home for about 3 Months turned off. I've turned it on today after adding a 10Gbe Network card (HP NC523SFP) the server booted fine, I logged-in on the OS (Centos 7) and everything looks fine. After about 45 minutes I heard the server FAN spin at 100% and then back to normal, I've attached a monitor and I've a red screen of death with an NMI error.. Checking on the ILO the error refer to PCI-E Slot 1 Raiser card 1 which is where the P420 controller is attached (10Gbe is on Slot 3 riser card 1). I was thinking that the issue was caused by the 10Gbe but after removing it the server still gets the red screen of death. I've also tried move the 10Gbe on the PCI-E Slot on the other side of the riser card but nothing changed, I've also tried to remove the Smart Cache module with the battery and move the P420 on Slot 3. What can I check? The only thing I didn't tried is to boot without the HDDs attached and/or backplane cables removed from the P420. It's possible that having the 10Gbe card on the same side of the riser card have broken the P420 controller? When booted the first time with the 10Gbe I remember there was a message about boot disk/rom option that I haven't seen before which I completely ignored..

i have some issue with an OpenVPN concentrator while using TUN device. The scenario is that:

OpenVPN Server
VPN Subnet: 10.10.10.1/24

PC1 OpenVPN Client
VPN IP: 10.10.10.50
PC Local subnet/IP: 192.168.20.100

PC2 OpenVPN Client
VPN IP: 10.10.10.60
PC Local subnet/IP: 192.168.30.100

RemoteSite1
VPN IP: 10.10.10.70
Local Subnet: 192.168.80.0/24

RemoteSite2
VPN IP: 10.10.10.80
Local Subnet: 192.168.80.0/24

The PC1 connect to RemoteSite1 and the PC2 connect to RemoteSite2 but while using iroute one of the PCs reach the wrong remote site. This setup works perfectly while using TAP device. In order to avoid the network conflicts on the OpenVPN server there are not the routing rule for the remote sites, there is a specific lookup routing table for each PC like that:

How can archieve the same setup but with TUN and iroute?

 You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
 You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest

What is the safer solution in this case? Ignore/Skip the dependences is not an option for me
