I am having issues in nginx log files.

Previously I only made logs to files,

            access_log /var/log/nginx/infotrack_access.log rsyslog;

I added the following file to my /etc/nginx/sites-available/alpha.conf file,

                access_log syslog:server=localhost:514,tag=infotrack rsyslog;

After I added this line, I am having issues that instead of the file infotrack_access.log, the logs are being made in the file infotrack_access.log.1 .

Here is the /etc/logrotate.d/nginx file,

When I reload or restart nginx, then for a moment the logs are made to innfotrack_access.log, but after a moment, the logs again go to infotrack_access.log.1

Why is this happening ? I have made no changes in /etc/nginx/nginx.conf file.

How I can solve it ?

The ansible tower uses port 40 and 443.

Nginx also listens on port 80.

Now, the servers which I have hosted behind nginx, like netdata. I accessed them earlier by http://xx.xx.xx.xx/netdata.

Now that ansible tower is running on port 80. Whenever I try to access xx.xx.xx.xx/netdata, it shows me this,

meaning that request never reaches nginx.

I tried running nginx on port other than 80, like 81, but it keeps on loading and request is never completed.

How can I access my servers hosted behind nginx ?

I have installed cacti to monitor my system. Installation was easy, and everything went right.

But when I tried to access 127.0.0.1/cacti I get this error

It is my first time on apache, Please help to get rid of this error.

I am trying to cache my requests in nginx. I have connected my django server as upstream. Now, I am trying to cache my requests.

proxy_cache_path /var/cache/nginx/ keys_zone=one:10m;

            proxy_cache one;

            proxy_no_cache $cookie_nocache $arg_nocache$arg_comment;
            proxy_cache_bypass $cookie_nocache $arg_nocache$arg_comment;
            proxy_cache_use_stale error http_502;
            proxy_pass http://127.0.0.1:8000;

}                                

Everything is working, but now I have added

proxy_cache_use_stale error http_502;

this statement.

It means that it should serve cached content even in case of error, 502 response code. To test it, I stopped my django server, and it should serve these requests now even when the django server is off.

But it is again sending 502 bad gateway.

Am I getting anything wrong here ? How do I get to know that whether my request has been cached or not ?

I have followed this tutorial . Instead of apache I am using Nginx. But

sudo /usr/local/bin/collectd-server start 

is giving me the above output.

What is the problem?

Ngxtop -l file_name 

takes only 1 log file as its input, Isthere any way by which I can pass 2 log files to ngxtop for monitoring ? or combine two files into 1, so that they both can be monitored ?
