Okay, so I have a Dynamics CRM 2011 environment running with IFD Configured. CRM is running Update Rollup 11, ADFS 2.0 has no Update Rollups installed. All servers in the environment are 2008R2.

Our in-house developers have created a web app that serves documents through to CRM. When signed in using the browser, this functionality works as expected. However, when accessed via Outlook, when the link for the file is clicked, Outlook spawns iexplore.exe - the problem with this, it seems, is that Outlook does not pass its ADFS auth over into Internet Explorer, and thus the end user is presented with an ADFS login page. This is inconvenient.

Is there a way for me to make some configuration changes, either to Outlook, IE, CRM, or ADFS to make the behavior I desire function?

As the title quite accurately reflects above, I have the following environment that I'm looking to tie all together:

1. CRM 2011 IFD (already using ADFS 2.0 successfully)
2. SharePoint 2010

There is integration between the two products in the form of document storage. SharePoint basically becomes the repository for documents that are attached to particular entities in CRM. Awesome stuff.

Now, as of this moment, I have the two products working, and I have the integration working successfully. The one thing I can't seem to get around is a login page when first accessing the Documents area inside CRM (it is a request for SharePoint data). After logging in, I am able to navigate the Document storage without issue.

What I'm looking to accomplish is to have my auth token that is issued when I sign into CRM work to validate me against SharePoint.

Simpler terms, I don't want to see another login screen.

Any clues? I can provide more details about the environment as needed, but things are basically pretty standard.

I'm not sure what happened here, but let me give you the rundown.

I have a CRM 2011 IFD that by all accounts was functioning. Out of nowhere, I find that when being redirected to ADFS 2.0 login page by CRM, instead of seeing the login page, I get the following error:

403 - Forbidden: Access is denied.

You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.

I'm not sure what is going on here. The certs are good, as best as I can tell, the logins are good. More specifically, nothing has been modified. This all worked just fine, and now it doesn't. I'm really stumped.

I have created this cluster on Amazon's EC2 service. I can connect to the sql instance from the first node (there is only one node in the cluster at this time) using the cluster name, so I know that much works.

I have another server in another Security Group (ports 1433 and 1434 opened between groups) that I am installing the SQL Reporting Services on. During the setup of the RS portion, it asks me to define a database or to create a new one. I want to point this RS instance at my SQL cluster, however I am presented with the error message in the title of this post, the troublesome -40 error.

I know the basics about resolving this (make sure Windows firewall holes are open, TCP/IP is enabled in Configuration Manager) but everything I find about diagnosing (or even configuring remote access) doesn't really address the cluster factor.

In Configuration Manager, TCP/IP is enabled, and listen all is set to yes, but in the tab where individual IPs are listed, none of them are 'enabled'. Should I enable both the node IP AND the cluster IP? Any? None?

I know I'm overlooking something probably very simple, but I'm stuck nonetheless.

I've been tasked with identifying the needs and lab-simulating a hosted Dynamics CRM 2011 multi-tenant solution. I've read through the 'Service Provider Planning and Deployment Guide', however I'm stuck on one key part and can't seem to find the relevant information anywhere.

I've never had to structure AD for multi-tenancy before, and am unsure how to proceed. The Guide listed above says:

"Hosted Microsoft Dynamics CRM must be deployed within an Active Directory platform that has been configured for multi-tenancy. However, this guide does not provide directions for implementing multi-tenancy within Active Directory."

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a few examples or some documentation on how to proceed?

I have a single server Exchange 2010 installation - OWA Connectivity has been confirmed, Autodiscover is configured and working properly for EVERY other installation. Other user accounts tested on problem Outlook, none can connect. Windows Firewall is pre-configured by Group Policy, only modifications being related to remote management. Firewall has also been disabled during diagnostic period. Network discovery and file sharing is enabled on workstation as well. Windows 7 Professional, latest updates installed.

Driving me nuts. Help, serverfault?
