I have 4 2TB drives. I want to create a 4TB RAID 1 array.
I select the 4 drives in the RAID BIOS, and try to create an array, but my only options are RAID 0, RAID 5, and RAID 10. This controller is supposed to support 1, 6 JBOD...
I know I must be missing something.
Please help.
I am moving our 2003 SBS server to a new machine, and upgrading it to 2008 R2 SBS standard.
I want to install the 2008 server as a second DC, leave both online for a week, to make sure the second server is operating correctly, then transfer roles from the 2003 to the 2008 server.
I have 15 CALs installed on the 2003 server.
What do I need to know to allow them both to function concurrently for a week license-wise?
I am not asking about anything technical in terms of the migration/install/decommission .

We are a design company who have grown quickly.
We currently are housing our design data within one Dell server in a raid array, with HDD backups taken weekly onto external HDD drives.
I'm looking to separate the operational functions of the company from the pure file serving functions.
All of our designers use Mac Pros and don't need to access the Windows side often, the opposite is true for the operational side running Quickbooks and Office programs.
We will use Windows SBS 2008 in a VM for the Domain Controller and Quickbooks server and Exchange services.
We have a mac mini server I can use to serve the files if it can handle the load of just file serving. I could attach a disk shelf or raid array to it.
Or I could build a whitebox *nix solution to hold the design images, but I would like it to talk to the Domain Controller to authenticate users.
Backing up 4TB is currently done to external drives put into a fireproof safe. Our only connection at our current location is a T1, so backing up to a remote location is not feasible.
The new system should take into account a good backup solution.

I am trying to map a couple network shares for anyone who logs in to the domain under their AD credentials. I had this setup before, and now I can't get it to work at all... so frustrating.
I'm trying putting the logon script under the user's profile, putting the logon script under the Group Policy Object logon script section.
Please help, none of the network shares are being mounted.
