With VMWare Server 1.x there was a nice fat client application for managing the server. Is that still available and functional with 2.x?
Jim Blizard's questions
I added new HP memory to a server to go from 8 to 32GB. Now I have this error message appearing in /var/log/messages every few seconds.
Jan 8 20:13:08 vmware01 kernel: EDAC MC0: CE row 2, channel 2,
label "": (Branch=1 DRAM-Bank=6 RDWR=Read RAS=13788 CAS=2840,
CE Err=0x2000 (Correctable Non-Mirrored Demand Data ECC))
I've googled for the error message and had no luck. Does anyone have any idea what it means and how to fix it?
Both the BIOS and the operating system see all 32 GB.
Any help with be greatly appreciated.
Is it possible to use a scanner connected to the client PC via a USB port via Citrix or Terminal Server?
If it is can you provide a pointer to some information on how to set it up. We are using TWAIN to talk to the scanner.
Does anyone here have any experience with OpenFiler in a large production environment they would like to share? We have about 3 TB of document images and databases and expect to grow rapidly in the near future (perhaps 10 or more TB).
Clearification
We will most likely be connecting to the SAN via ISCSI over GB Ethernet from web, database and FTP servers.
