The site 63.208.1.26/FreightRateCentral is not rendering images. Chrome reports HTTP 404 for each of them. This is a fresh install of Windows 2008 R2 and IIS 7. At first, I thought that it was a .NET framework issues, but I ensured that the application pool is running 4.x. Then, I checked IIS Request Filtering, but .jpg and .png extensions are not being blocked. The deployed site files are in a subfolder under wwwroot. What other issues may be causing the site from rendering the images correctly? Thanks for your help and guidance!

I've created an Amazon EC2 Windows 2012 instance. I installed FTP via IIS and ensured that both the Amazon firewall and the instance's firewall allow traffic on port 21. When I connect to the instance from my Filezilla FTP client, the connection is accepted, but the directory listing is not rendered.

Here's the output when attempting to connect using Filezilla:

Response:   501 Server cannot accept argument.
Command:    PASV
Response:   227 Entering Passive Mode (204,236,224,103,192,56).
Command:    LIST
Response:   150 Opening BINARY mode data connection. 
Error:  The data connection could not be established: ETIMEDOUT - Connection attempt 
timed out 
Error:  Connection timed out
Error:  Failed to retrieve directory listing

While connected to the server via RDP, I open IE and enter ftp://localhost and can connect without problem. In my local browser, when I enter the ftp://ElasticIP I am unable to connect. Note that I set the FTP Server in IIS with bindings to to all IP addresses unassigned listening on port 21. The FTP Firewall support has the Elastic IP entered as well.

What additional steps must be taken to ensure FTP works correctly? Thanks much for your help and guidance.

I'm using a service that provides virtual machines via VMWare. I have an older VM who's OS and tools need to be upgraded. However, I also have tons of applications, files, web server and other stuff that cannot be deleted.

Since the machines are on the same subnet, I was wondering if I could establish a network connection on the new VM to the old one and transfer files and apps that way? Or is there a better method of doing this?

We are running Windows Server 2008 R2 with IIS 7.5 and have 4-5 Classic ASP sites to install. The main site is stored in wwwroot and the other sites are stored in folders below wwwroot.

We have 1 IP address for the server. How do I configure IIS to allow folks to browse/test the sites before domain names are pointed to te server?

When I setup one of the sites in a subfolder of wwwroot and assign a separate port to it, I receive a message stating:

Config Error Cannot add duplicate collection entry of type 'add' with unique key 
attribute 'value' set to 'index.asp'

The error points to web.config in the given sites' folder as follows:

I've installed subversion on our RHEL server and also installed dav_svn_module. My location tag in httpd.conf is as follows:

<Location /subversion>
DAV svn
SVNPath /subversion

AuthUserFile /etc/svn-auth.htpasswd
Require valid-user
</Location>

I've setup a password for svnuser with

htpasswd -c -m /etc/svn-auth.htpasswd svnuser

After restarting httpd, I try to checkout files from the subversion repository to my local machine and receive the error message above. Note that when I try to view the repository via HTTP, I recieve a HTTP 500 error as well.

The httpd error log shows the following entries:

error: Can't open file /subversion/format No such file or directory
Could not fetch resource information [500, #0]
Could not open the requested SVN filesystem [500, #2]

Note that /subversion/format doesn't exist. Not sure why error log is referencing this non-existent file??

What changes are needed to ensure I can both checkout/commit and authenticate via http?

I'm using TortoiseSVN to connect to a newly-created repository on my RHEL server. I did svnadmin create reponame as root to create the repository. I simply want to checkout the repository using TortoiseSVN so that I can add files to it.

I installed mod_dav_svn and can now connect and checkout the repository. On my local machine, I added files to the directory and tried to commit. However, TortoiseSVN now gives 

Can't open file '/subversion/langantiques/db/txn-current-lock': Permission
denied

How do I rectify this one?

I'm trying to load a svn dumpfile onto my RHEL server. The dumpfile was loaded from our old Ubuntu server and I used svnadmin create reponame and then svnadmin load --quiet reponame < dumpfilename.

After a short time, I receive the following message:

svnadmin: Checksum mismatch,   
file '/images/lang_cards/large/2001_Lang_Valentines_inside_large.jpg':
expected:  97b1f37b81463ac88a3c2c18abfbb329
actual:  944edbcc7684cb736eca5ed2c0d1c12c

How can I bypass this error, to continue loading the dumpfile?

I'm attempting to use rsync on a new RHEL server to copy files/directory from a remote Ubuntu server. I used rsync -avx [email protected]:/var/www/ /var/www/html

I'm then prompted for the password for [email protected] and provide it. Unfortunately, I receive permission denied (publickey,password). Note that the username I'm using on the RHEL server is different from the username on the Ubuntu server.

How do I rectify this issue?

I have a new CentOS 6 server running PHP 5.3.2. The output of php -v shows

Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/lib64/php/modules/pdo_mysql.so - 
/usr/lib64/php/modules/pdo_mysql.so cannot open shared object file

I modified /etc/php.ini to include extension=pdo.so and extension=pdo_mysql.so and restarted httpd. I did install PDO and phpinfo.php shows pdo_sqllite installed?? How do I install pdo_mysql and rectify above warning message?

I'm running CentOS 5.6 on my server with Apache. I need to create a "staging" site so that client can view the development in progress. I understand that this is done via Apache virtual host. Where is this file located on the server?

Since we have 1 IP address on the test server, and we don't want to change DNS for the domain name just yet, how do I setup the virtual host to resolve the http://my.ip.addy to our test server's /var/www/html/public directory?

I've configured vncserver on my CentOS5 system and it now accepts remote VNC connections. I want the user to automatically be presented with the Gnome desktop upon successful VNC connection. In testing this, I tried executing startx after establishing a connection and receive the following:

Fatal server error:
PAM authentication failed, cannot start X server.
Perhaps you do not have console ownership?

How do I rectify this issue?

I'm running CentOS5.6 and am attempting to configure VNC. I edited /etc/sysconfig/vncservers to read as follows:

VNCSERVERS="2:paul 3:sid"
VNCSERVERARGS[2]="-geometry 800x600"
VNCSERVERARGS[3]="-geometry 800x600"

When I try to start or stop vncserver, I receive the message

starting VNC server 2:paul [FAILED]

I created xstartup as follows:

I have a CentOS server and am attempting to setup Zend Framework on it. The command which php outputs

/usr/bin/php

and php -i | grep include_path outputs

include_path => .:/usr/share/pear:/usr/share/php=> .:/usr/share/pear:/usr/share/php

So, I copied the Zend folder from the Framework donwload to both /usr/share/pear and /usr/share/php and also copied zf.sh and zf.php to /usr/bin/php.

When I execute zf show version, I receive

bash: zf: command not found

Can anyone suggest further steps to take to ensure installation of ZF?

I'm using Zend framework 1.11 to develop a site hosted on a centos server. Apache is running and documentroot is set to "var/www/html/public". When I copy my index.php file from my Zend Framework project to this directory and browse to http://www.localhost nothing appears, the same is true when browsing to localhost/html/public/index.php.

I noted that the Zend Framework folder needed to be copied to /usr/share/php/Zend which did not exist until I created it tonight. After copying the Zend folder there, my browser still gives a blank page. I used php -f /var/www/html/public/index.php and received the following error:

I have a client who is running his ASP.nET 3.5 webforms site on IIS7 under Default Web Site. I've started development on his MVC3 and have the site files ready for him to review.

How do I setup IIS to serve his MVC3 site as a subdomain(?) so that his productions site continues to function while he can also view progress on the new project?

Our website is written using PHP and is powered by a hosted Linux web server. We want to allow our users to receive SMS messages when they've received intranet-site messages from fellow users - SMS Notification.

What is required to implement this functionality? Are there open source (free?) server applications that address this? Do we need to contract with wireless carriers to send messages to their networks? What, if any fees, must be paid to them?
