I am doing a fresh install of spacewalk 2.7, and when running

# yum -y install spacewalk-postgresql

i get error:

Manually by downloading to the target host, and using rpm -ivh <> to install both packages Now, when i run

yum -y install spacewalk-postgresql

I get error:

Could not install /root/ssl-build/gss-spacewalk-2-prod.aws.uscis/rhn-org-httpd-ssl-key-pair-gss-spacewalk-2-prod.aws.xx-1.0-1.noarch.rpm at /usr/bin/rhn-install-ssl-cert.pl line 68.

This could be due to the fact that this host was a snapshot of another spacewalk server. Need to further resolve this issue...

I am running spacewalk 2.6 on CentOS Linux release 7.4.1708 (Core)

and on starting spacewalk with spacewalk-service start

There are actually 6 programs that run when jabberd is started. Their executable are located in the following locations:

1. /usr/bin/c2s

4. /usr/bin/router

6. /usr/bin/sm

jabberd configuration:

Since spacewalk does not support Red Hat Enterprise Linux is it possible to use Amazon Linux AMI ( which supports RHEL yum updates ) and use that as a proxy or mirror to re-distribute yum updates? or use Pulp/Katello for RHEL update distribution. There is no information i could find in my google search.

I am using ESXi 4.1 and have a CentOs 6.2 Virtual Machine with apache server running. I cannot access this web server from outside the Virtual Machine.

My ESXi 4.1 is on 10.0.11.11 The VM i have setup has the IP 10.0.1.152 i can ssh to this VM from outside, but cannot access the web page

I am trying to telnet from host 10.0.1.91 (centos) to host 10.0.11.162 (ubuntu). When I try to connect to the Ubuntu host, I get:

Just installed zabbix server on ubuntu, but i am unable to login as "Admin" without password, as the Doc stated.

When trying to install CentOs setup as an iso image on datastore, i get an error : "Disk Not Found". I am using ESXi 4.1 as host VM. Is there a way to attach DVD/CD as iso image ? I tried "Connect at Power on" Checked and Connect CD/DVD on the VSphere Console, but i still am unable ot get the iso image recognized as a DVD mounted image

Vsphere takes ovf file to create a Virtual Machine, but it also needs the vmdk which is the actual disk. Would VMWare Converter be able to do this conversion? i have the .vdi files on Mac OSX. Maybe i need to move the files to where VMWare converter can access them, since there is no VMWare converter on Mac

I installed Jenkins on Ubuntu 10.10 and I could not find any mention of setting up database for data persistance.

So the first question is where does the data get stored, and secondly, can we setup Hudson / Jenkins with mySQL ? or similar databases?

I am trying to install VMWare Server 1.0.6 , and have also tried VMWare server 2.0.2 BOTH 64 bit, on ubuntu 10.10 64 bit.

i just want to know the pros and cons, from performance and managability point of view. liek, e.g. ESXi only gives ssh access and you cannot install any software on the Hypervisor, it WILL install but on reboot will be wiped out. etc etc

currently, i have statements like : system("ssh -o StrictHostKeyChecking=no root\@${address} \"cat /var/log/messages""); This did not require a password, since the two systems were setup with proper key exchange

now this is no longer available: hence:

i want to be able to :

1. Login as "admin"
2. Supply a password
3. do a sudo -i
4. supply a password
5. run the same command "cat /var/log/messages"
