I have a domain 'host10' that no longer exists on the system. The config file was renamed, the configuration changed to point to a different .img, and the image name was renamed as well.
I've done this multiple times, in the end I renamed and moved 10 domU's. This is the ONLY one that continuously tries to restore when the system boots.
How can I prevent xend from trying to restore a deleted VM? I removed the symlink out of /etc/xen/auto, to no avail.
I have 10 domU's on my CentOS 5.6 server running Xen kernel. All 10 are set to start on system boot; however, for just 1 of the machines, I get this error:
Error: Device 0 (vif) could not be connected. Hotplug scripts not working.
All 10 domU's have three configured network interfaces, all bridged to a physical interface on the host. All three work great - eth's 1, 2, and 3 are bridged to each VM's eth0,eth1, and eth2.
I can start this VM by hand and it starts without issue. I've tried via command line:
xm create /path/to/vm-config.cfg
And also in virt-manager.
What is causing this issue, and how can I get this one VM to start on host bootup just like the other 9 do?
The SAS Controller Card in a production server of ours went bad. This was an older server, and Dell does not have the card in stock and not ETA for one. So, I ordered one from NewEgg.
I installed the card, and it's working, somewhat. It's at least reading the drives enough to show me the RHEL splash screen, but it fails to boot, with errors that it can't find /proc, etc. I expected errors since I'm pretty sure there's some data corruption. These were in RAID1.
Anyways, new card works enough - I can get the drives turned on and hear them spinning, it's obviously reading SOME data, since it's showing the RHEL splash screen...so my question is, how do I get access to this data? I've tried booting Ubuntu LiveCD, but it doesn't see the drives.
How can I mount one of these drives within Linux, and get access to what data is still readable?
--- EDIT --- Ok, so I put the new SAS RocketRAID card into a different server that has CentOS5.5 installed. It has a Dell SAS card that controls those drives.
I installed the card, and just 1 drive. I then built the kernel module for the RocketRAID, per the company's instructions. When I boot, CentOS is recognizing the drive, I can go to /dev/scsi/rr272x_1x and see that the OS recognizes it (was seen as scsi 5, so it puts a file named '5' in this dir, and when I cat it, shows the drive info.)
But, still can't get at the data...
Tried mounting EVERYTHING shown in /dev/s* (sda, sda1, sda2, sdb, sdb1, sdb2).

I have gotten awesome advice from users on here for getting Exchange on Windows SBS 2008 set up. I think this is the final piece and I'm ready for roll-out!
I need to set up Exchange so that it RECEIVES mail from our existing mail server as a Forward [aliases on the existing mail server to forward mail from [email protected] to [email protected]] (not using the POP3 Connector), and SENDS mail through that server as well (sends from [email protected] to [email protected] and then out to the world, showing in the headers as from [email protected] or at absolute least have the reply-to set as this).
Alternatively, as long as the .net email address doesn't show in the From and replies are directed to the .com account, email can go from Exchange to the outside world without directing through the existing mail server.

When I go to http://remote.domain.net I get the Remote Web Workspace, and can login to both Sharepoint and OWA.
I can send an email from OWA to a GMail account. I receive it from [email protected], which is an alias of [email protected].
I cannot, however, send an email from OWA to ANY domain.com email addresses. I am also not receiving any email to this Exchange account (except for NDRs).

I'm pretty sure the obvious "RecipNotFound" error is why its not working, my question is how to resolve this. The email account exists, it receives mail just fine, yet when I send it from the Exchange server it fails.

I've been tasked with getting a Microsoft Exchange server set up here at my job.
Here's what I need the end result to be:
- DHCP Handled by our SonicWALL appliance
- Our existing DNS servers used
- Every employee has an Exchange email account
- The Exchange emails are ONLY internal, mail is received to the Exchange server from our existing email server.
- Emails sent from the Exchange account to an external email address have the 'Reply-To' set as the external email address rather than the Exchange email address.
- Exchange server only has an internal IP (192.168.XX.XX)
I just did a fresh install of Windows Small Business Server 2008, about to begin configuring. I've been unsuccessful with previous installations - I cannot figure out how to use the SonicWALL for DHCP and our existing DNS servers. Then there's the email routing that I can't grasp either.
My boss wants this done ASAP, if anyone can help or direct me to a good place to find this info, it will be MUCH appreciated!
I'm trying to figure out a SAN solution for my job. My boss suggested I look at Logic I/O cards as the storage medium (http://www.fusionio.com/), and DataCore's SANmelody (http://www.datacore.com/products/prod_SANmelody.asp).
Although I carry certifications in Linux as well as other degrees and certifications, SANs are brand new to me. My thought is that we get two servers (primary and secondary) with multiple PCI Express slots (the Logic I/O cards attach to PCI express), install and configure the SANs with the SANmelody software.
Any help is much appreciated. I'm brand new here otherwise I'd offer a bounty.
I'm a Linux guy, but here at work we're basically re-doing our entire network and going to Active Directory. I'm trying to get Windows Small Business Server 2008 set up, and one of the problems I'm encountering is with the DHCP server.
We have 3 WAN connections. I want to take those three connections, plug them to our SonicWALL device, and from there each connection to a separate NIC on the SBS2008 server. Then I need the DHCP server to issue IP addresses in different subnets (192.168.10.0, 192.168.20.0, 192.168.30.0) depending on which NIC card the connection comes in on.
I need to allow these three subnets to communicate to the domain controller but NOT be allowed to communicate between the subnets. Those on 192.168.10.0 shouldn't be able to ping devices on the 192.168.20.0 and 192.168.30.0 subnets.
