I have a pfsense box running both Snort and OpenVPN. The VPN worked great before installing Snort, now intermittently I cannot connect.
Should I whitelist the port that the VPN uses on the WAN interface?
Any comments on the configuration above? I am learning here so your input is valuable.
I am running Proxmox VE Datacenter console on the web behind an SSL protect NGINX proxy. Everything works great as long as I keep the Proxmox VE Datacenter console of the root (i.e.: https://my-site.org/ gets me the Datacenter console).
What I want to do, have tried and failed, is to have the datacenter console behind another URL, for example https://my-site.org/proxmox.
Any ideas?
I want to setup a number of guests with multiple CPUs (4) and at least 4Gb ram running Ubuntu Linux. These machines will mostly be idle, but from time to time their workload will require all their resources, especially the CPU.
The hosts are ESXi 5.x.
The question is, am I right in thinking that the resource consumption of the machines when idle will be negligible?
We know this true of disk and the CPU. The only concern left therefore is memory. Since ESX over-commits memory it makes sense that unused memory of any guest is paged out.
If my thinking correct?
I am running an LSI raid (Dell Perc 6/i) on my Ubuntu 10.04 server. I want to monitor the raid array but it seems that there is no software for it. The raid drivers are part of the kernel, but I dont see any tools for it. Software that is available, including LSI's own software, does not work.
Are there any FOSS tools to that I can use to monitor LSI raid arrays? What is available and supported?
I am trying to access bugzilla through an apache reverse proxy. I have the usual ProxyPass and ProxyPassReverse settings and this works to bring back the page, but it does not bring back any formating, style or graphics.
I have tried to ensure that http compression is turned off for the site. This did not help. Has anyone done this? Will I need to use mod-rewrite?
I cant seem to work this out (or maybe its just late!) - I installed Nexus and disabled anonymous access as I intend to proxy nexus on the web. It makes sense that there should be some manner to authenticate against the nexus repository, but I cant find anywhere to configure this.
Any help?
To be clear, from the client when we do mvn there must be some manner to authenticate against the maven repository. This is the piece that is alluding me at this time.
