We currently have an Exchange 2016 Edge server located in our DMZ and it is handling all our inbound and outbound emails. I noticed that there is no Activesync service/role inside Edge server. I can only see it inside our internal mailboxes servers which are located in our private, LAN, network.
Is it possible to enable/install Activesync role inside Edge server? Because we do not want to expose our internal mailbox servers to the internet directly.

Currently, we have the below setup for DNS/DC IP configurations in our environment. I feel that something is not right/missing.
HO-DC1 IP: 10.10.10.11 Primary DNS: 10.10.10.12 Secondary DNS: 127.0.0.1

I currently have the HPE ML30 G10 with Intel® Xeon® E-2124 processor installed in it. I wonder if it is possible to replace the processor with Intel® Xeon® E-2288G or Intel® Xeon® E-2236 without changing/replacing any other components inside the server ?

I have created an CNAME alias record (PublicShare) for one of our servers (KWT-SRV01) in Windows Server DNS. Unfortunately i am unable to use it in powershell "-path" attribute. For example,
this works just fine
New-vm -ComputerName KUW-SRV04 -MemoryStartupBytes 1GB -NoVHD -Generation 2 -Name TEST123 -Path "\\KWT-SRV01\Test\"
but when using the Alias name, i get the following error
New-vm -ComputerName KUW-SRV04 -MemoryStartupBytes 1GB -NoVHD -Generation 2 -Name TEST123 -Path "\\Publicshare\Test\"
New-VM : Failed to create a new virtual machine.
What am i missing?

I am issuing the above commands from another separate server (KWT-SRV05)
To simplify our current setup. We have SRV01, SRV02, and SRV03. All Windows Server 2016 with Hyper-V installed and joined to our domain. SRV01 host a shared folder "\\SRV01\VM-ONLINE-STORAGE\Test" All servers on same network subnet and their windows firewall is OFF.
My goal is to create a new VM remotely using Powershell from SRV02 to SRV03 using network shared folder for vm storage.
ON SRV02
New-vm -ComputerName SRV03 -MemoryStartupBytes 1GB -NoVHD -Generation 2 -Name TEST1 -Path "\\SRV01\VM-ONLINE-STORAGE\Test\"
I get the following error
New-vm : Failed to create a new virtual machine.

At first, I thought this has to do with missing permissions. So I tested the following on SRV02 and SRV03 and it worked just fine.
ON SRV02 and SRV03
New-Item -Path "\\SRV01\VM-ONLINE-STORAGE\Test\" -Name "testing" -ItemType "directory"
The folder created successfully. So no extra permissions are needed because I am using a domain admin account for all of this which is local admin on all servers.
The only way to make it work remotely is to use local folder path located on SRV03.
ON SRV02
New-vm -ComputerName SRV03 -MemoryStartupBytes 1GB -NoVHD -Generation 2 -Name TEST1 -Path "D:\Storage\"
This works just fine but we need to use network path instead. How can I achieve that?
Please note, when the command is issued locally on SRV03, it works.
ON SRV03
New-vm -ComputerName SRV03 -MemoryStartupBytes 1GB -NoVHD -Generation 2 -Name TEST1 -Path "\\SRV01\VM-ONLINE-STORAGE\Test\"
Successfull.
What am I missing?
