I run an AsteriskNow! box for our phones. Everything works just fine except for the http console dies after about a day of up time. If I restart the server, everything comes up just fine. I am trying to find a way to not have to restart everytime I need access to the box with http.
I have done some research on the AsteriskNow! forums and I thought it was the "log-rotate bug", however this solution has since stopped working. http://forums.digium.com/viewtopic.php?t=64400
So here is the situation. I currently run a mail server for my small non-profit company. My mail server (Merak Mail Server) keeps logs in .log files and mail as .tmp files. Essentially these are just text files that are kept on the server.
Problem is that when I put text into the "Containing text" field on Windows Explorer, it always misses the files and tells me no results returned. Then when I search the files one by one (painful at best), I find the files I need.
Do I not understand the search feature well enough, or maybe I have it indexing wrong. I really don't care what I need to use to search the files, even a third-party app is fine with me, I just want to type an email address into a box and search all of my log files or email files and find out which one I am looking for. It can be Windows Search or something else, as long as I can find a way to get the job done I will be happy. Pay solutions are fine as well.

I have looked many places for the answer to this question and server fault looks like a great place to look some more.
We run in an environment which is completely thin-client to fat-server setup. All applications for all users are run on our server. Almost all applications work just like you would expect with the exception of Publisher 2007. I have Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007 installed. Every couple of days I notice one of the four processors is completely pegged. I open taskman and mspub.exe has it run into the ground. It does not happen all of the time, and it tends to correlate with mail merges out of Excel, although not always.
Things I know:
It can happen to more than one user, at the same time
The mail merge when it tends to happen has long been over
Given a period of time mspub will still not recover. I have let it run for two or three days hoping it might stop.
The user does not "sense" the application is locked-up. Even though it has the processor pegged it still responds to user input and closes by taskman or the close button from the user without problem.
