I am able to add ec2 instances in nagios using puppet but how can I delete the instances from nagios configuration after instances get terminated.
I am looking for something, whenever any node gets terminated manually or via ASG, those, wait for 10 mins or so, if node is still down, delete it from nagios and restart nagios.
I have list of IP addressed, I want to find if instances associated with the IP address are still running or terminated. I am launching and terminating lot of instances on daily basis, just want to remove their certificates from puppetmaster.
If there is any alternative method, I can achieve my goal, I can do that.
How can I get private IP adresses of all the instances which are part of an AutoScaling group. I am trying to do some operation on all the instances which are part of an autoscaling group.

How can I create custom graphs in ganglia. I have couple of scripts written, which can return the data in intergers, I want to graph them in ganglia. I can get the output from my scripts every minute.

I want to add mail attribute to the existing ldap users. I think, its possible with using ldapmodify but not sure how. I have done that using phpldapadmin web GUI manually, but I have like more than 100 users and dont want to do that manually for all.
Can anyone please guide me in right direction.

I want to configure a proxy which can rotate the IP's on session basis. Let me explain what I have done so far and what is exact requirement.
I installed 3 proxy configured it to listen on 10 Public interfaces which is working fine. But my requirement is if any user access the internet, IP which will go out should be changed for every new session. Lets say my prxy IP's are from 10.20.30.5-14. When an user opens google.com it will hit google webserver with 10.20.30.5 IP and now if same user opens up yahoo.com then, it should it with 10.20.30.6 or any ip b/w 6 to 14.
Is this possible?
I have a LDAP master server installed on CentOS-5.4 and I have installed LDAP on one more machine and I want it be configured as LDAP slave server but when I am importing the LDIF file or trying to create any new object in slave LDAP getting the below errors:

There is no permission issue already checked that on /var/lib/ldap

Is there any specific open source tool which can be used to monitor what users are doing on linux system. I have multiple servers and with access to some users on them. I want to monitor which user ran which commands at what time. I want it to be monitored from Centralized server. I know about tripwire,sysstat. But those are not full filling my requirements.

Is there any open source Dell H/w base RAID monitoring tool? Or any tool which monitors the hdd disks failure in RAID or power supply failure on Dell PE servers.
I am trying to setup a standard for deploying new servers in production. I want to include some default tools to be installed on every server like snmp,nmap,vim,nano and on the same time want to remove all the unwanted tools,services which are not required like avahi-daemon,sendmail,cups etc. Basically it depends on the purpose or function of the server. But still want some idea on this part for very basic server deployment. It also includes the default partition schema.
Can anybody please help me with this, if anybody already using it.
I have configured the Jump Start installation on Solaris-10u9 which is running fine except one problem. i.e the registration page that is been included in new releases and I am unable to avoid it because of the solaris bug. But I have heard that Solaris Jump Start with JET package can be used to make it fully unattended installation. But I am bit confused about it,
Does JumpStart install server also needs to configure for JET to work or is it the Separte tool which does not have any dependency on jumpstart?
I have a SIP server(Asterisk) I have configured a DID for outbound and inbound. My asterisk server has freepbx installed to manage it. My requirement here is, when anyone calls to this DID call should be forwarded to other SIP server(Nextone SBC). Forwarding is not working.

I have more than 1000 Linux/Unix(Solaris) servers in my network and I want to implement some kind of centralized login server. So that I create users on one server and he can able to login on any of the server in my network. But there would be some exception that I want to implement like, every I dont want to give every user access to every server. Like guy from the development team should not be able to access servers of Fault Management team and vice versa.
I dont want to use LDAP. I heard about Kerberos and RADIUS or Radius+SSH+LDAP. Please suggest which will be the better way to go. I just want centalized user management and server access management.

I have network of more than 50 users and I want to monitor all of machines for there downloading stats. How much(in MB's or GB's) been downloaded or uploaded by every machine. Every user has Administrator access to there machine so dont want to install any kind of SNMP or client but also not skeptical about that too.
I am linux/unix admin so looking for a centalized monitoring tool like OpenNMS,cacti,mrtg etc.. But if windows monitoring tool fulfills my requirements I can use that one too..
