I need to increase an Ubuntu partition, in a Xen environment. Through XenCenter, I increased the disk, from 10GB to 100 GB. Now I can see "xvda" size 100 GB. For reasons I don't know, in xvda, I have: xvda1, xvda2, xvda5 The root (/) is in xvda5, together with a swap. Follows my fdisk command:

What are the commands I need? I tried solutions taken on the web and stack exchange, without luck. There is a command I found growpart that seems perfect for my needs, but it doesn't seem to work.

I've got a remote xen server and I noticed that the speed link in autoneg is 100 Full Duplex; all my network is 1000 Full Duplex; do you know any reason for this? Ethtool mentions on both my server advertised speed and link partner advertised speed (my switch), as well as other slower speeds, also 1000 Full Duplex. I was tempted to try to force the speed manually in this way:

ethtool -s eth0 speed 1000 duplex full autoneg off

Another command I could try, but I'm not sure if it could be useful, is:

ethtool -s eth0 speed 1000 duplex full autoneg on

Obviously my concern is that the link will break and this is a remote server; I can access it (it's just 2 miles away) but I'd prefer to avoid it (home working);

I would like to just test the manual speed and reverse to autoneg if it fails, I'm thinking to use crontab to set autoneg on every hour, but I don't find it a good strategy.

What would you do in this case?

I can't write on all my clients (Windows 7 and Windows 10) in all my samba shares, even if the users are accepted on domain, and the permissions was maintained. The shares are on a NAS, ISCSI connected. The line in my /etc/fstab is:

Until I was on Zentyal 5 everything was OK. The error that the client gives is: "No authorization to execute the operation". Where's the Samba log for this? I can read the files with all users. I tried to write with the domain admin, and no success. I tried to write from ssh, using root, with success. So I believe is a restriction of Samba and not on Linux level (operating system).

Addition: I tried to set a share "guest allowed" from Zentyal interface, and then, I can write in a Windows 10 client...
