I have a file named server1.txt and one more file named server1_copy.txt. In server1.txt, all logs will be added from the application. So whenever a new line is added in the server1.txt, we need to copy that and paste it in the server1_copy.txt. We can keep the code in powershell script and schedule it to run every 30 minutes to perform this action.

I dont have much experiance in Powershell script. But I gone through so many documents in online, could not find a right solution to this.

Does anyone have any idea how we can achieve this using Powershell scripts.

I will be getting some raw data directly from an API. I want to format this and convert into PDF file and save it. I gone through ansible modules. I am not getting any idea in this. Can someone suggest how we can achieve it using Ansible please.

I am getting a count from powershell command and registering it on variable. I have to use that count in when condition. I have changed it to int before using it in when condition too. Still that task ( mail notification) is getting skipped, eventhough the count is 0 here. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong here. Below is the code I am executing

I have a json file (server.json) with the content like this:

I have to assign this servers to a group dynamically with the below code:

So value for server_vaar mentioned in vars will be passed to the script as extra variable from Splunk or by manually when the ansible script runs.

This server_vaar value can be servers_groupA, servers_groupB, servers_groupC, servers_groupD. We need to pass this name to with_items in "Adding host dynamically to inventory" TASK. So that it will go that array in json file and pass the server_name from that list to inventory and create a group "testing_servers_group" as Inventory group.

So I passed in with_items: "{{ server_vaar}}" which should be taken as with_items: "{{ servers_groupA }}"

But it throwed error as "undefined variable" for that server_vaar. I couldnot find a solution to pass this groupname to the with items. Can anyone give me some idea on this issue I am facing.

What I got as extra variable to ansible playbook is "CHOW_app/timmy_app1/johnn_app3/harper_app4/mona_app5". This is passed as single variable to the playbook. I have to separate it and save it in a text file in this format.

REVOKE CHOW app
REVOKE timmy app1
REVOKE johnn app3
REVOKE harper app4 
REVOKE mona app5

I think it can be achievable using awk command. But I dont know whether this can be done in Ansible playbook itself. Does anyone have any idea how we can separate it using awk and store it in a txt file in Ansible itself.

I am invoking a python script from ansible playbook. While invoking I am passing the credentials to the python script as arguments. The password has some special characters.

But in Python script, I am receiving the password without the special characters. So password becomes incorrect and I am getting unauthorized error.

I am having this credential in Ansible tower. So I kept the both ansible playbook and python script in Git and running as a job in Ansible tower.

Above is the Ansible playbook which will invoke the python Script. Say the actual username and password is "ADMIN" and "Oracle$123!". But what I am getting in Python script is "ADMIN" and "Oracle123!"

This is how I am retrieving the credentials in python script.

Here I am trying to invoke a python script through ansible playbook. When I run the playbook containing below mentioned code, it is successfully invoking the script. But ansible script continues to run till the Python script finishes all its Task.

The python script "data_pull_push.py" is getting data from a Url and posting it to another Url. It has too many data. So it takes really long time to retrieve and post all the data. So I want the Ansible playbook to trigger the Python script in it and close the playbook. Python script should be running in Background.

And this Ansible playbook and python script is kept in git and will be running the playbook in Ansible tower. I am not getting any idea how to use that in Ansible. If anyone knows Please let me know.
