I have an old SLES 12 SP1 (no GUI) server that I recently patched and when I reboot the server it was just showing me an empty black screen and the mouse pointer. (Tried multiple Ctrl+Alt+F1-F9, and nothing happens)

So I edited Grub and added nomodeset. Now the server gives me the login screen and seems fine.

Then when I enter the username and passwd, the server just shows a cursor and after a while it sort of refreshes and promts for login details again. I've tried so many times, and tried with different users account. It's doesn't even say incorrect passwd etc, it just refreshes the screen. Also some times it will show login timed out before it refreshes the screen.

Any idea on what could cause this issue??

I have configured a 2 node (VMs) cluster with SUSE High Availability Extension.

The cluster doesn't use shared disk. So Stonith is not really required. But the cluster keeps on asking for Stonith.

So what basic stonith can i create ??

any got an idea on how to fix this? Im unabe to access website behind the squid proxy.

I have to run a script from server A and connects to 20 more servers over ssh to pull information. Previously i was using a normal user, and that would become a problem once the password for that user is expired. So i was thinking about using a Service Account to run the Script.

Would it be possible to run the script with a nologin user??

Is it possible to setup a MX record for example.com and a.example.com on the same DNS server in the same zone and is this a good practice?

Some like this:

I have been trying to convert a .pfx to pem file, without success. I am using SLES15.

I used below command:

openssl pkcs12 -in input.pfx -out ouput.pem -nodes

Then I get :

I entered the password, then I get: "Can't read Password"
