i just want to make sure there are no caveats with installing print drivers via group policy. also, if this is just a bad idea and a better idea exists let me know.
thanks!

we're upgrading to Symantec Endpoint Protection 12 using group policy in a mixed environment from SAV 10. how can we tell which machines are 32-bit v. 64-bit? we tried looking at the properties in AD Users and Computers to no avail thinking we'd create separate OUs for the machines. our dc is running windows 2003, but we have a 2008 machine we can create policies with. any ideas?
thank you!
We're locking down our terminal server machine for remote desktop users and can't seem to find how to hide Administrative Tools from the Start Menu for remote desktop users.
thank you!
How do I disable office applications from loading on client machines through group policy?
When I download ADMX files to use on our Windows Server 2008 machine, do I store them under Sysvol on our domain controller which is a Windows Server 2003 machine or do I put them in the policydefinitions folder on the Windows 2008 Server?
I.e., do the admx files need to be centralized from our domain controller?
Thank you!
We want to be able to access all the new admx templates that come with 2008R2 out of the box to set up our terminal service desktop policies operating on our Windows 2008R2 machine.
Is it true that whichever policy we create from wherever they are replicated back to our dc's sysvol. This would be true even if we used the LGPO on the desktops?
Thank you!
Any advice on where I should begin in terms of resources or videos?
Outstanding questions are:
Does anyone have a recommended step-by-step for configuring a watchguard xtm for all of SBS 2003's services (e.g. Exchange, OWA, PPTP, SharePoint, Remote Web, Active Sync, etc)?
We're in the process of recommending a solution for a small client (10 users). They currently have SBS 2003 and they are now curious about having a cloud solution. Our retainer with them would probably go away if they move to the cloud, but we would no longer have the overhead of running to their office if something were to fail. Anyone btdt? How did you reorganize business relationship? Any ideas about convincing them to stay with an on-premise solution?
Thanks!
QNAP's technical support will not answer, we're trying to get in. Any ideas?
I can shut it down by not logging in which suggests a profile issue, but I'm wondering if there is a known issue. -TIA
Can you use the Windows 7 WAIK and procedure to image Vista?
Can I just setup a clean install and image this using Windows 7 backup and then restore this image to all the other machines (changing computer names and rejoining to active directory of course)?
Specifically, how can we benefit from these current list of features? We're very new to this and I want to be able to talk intelligently to our IT consultant.

What other products should we compare this QNAP to? I appreciate how informative the site is, but they only seem to sell their products through a small number of channels. Is QNAP well known?
TIA!
We need at least 1TB of redundant storage for server image snapshots to be backed-up using shadow protect. What do you recommend for $1K or so budget? What else should I be considering for this project? Very green. Thank you!
