We are experimenting with Citrix Provisioning Services to deploy servers in our environment, but it's been giving me a lot of problems. As I was cursing it for the umpteenth time it occurred to me that the feature I'm most interested in is the ability to discard changes on reboot.
Is there any other way to do this? I have heard of something called Windows Disk Protection but it doesn't seem to be be currently supported. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a user who logs into our Citrix web interface with pass-through authentication. When she connects to the web site, it displays a message saying that no published resources can be found, and indeed it displays no application icons.
But when I have her log out and log back in with explicit credentials, she gets her normal list of applications.
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
We are running an app that was not developed in house on several Citrix servers. The users of this application are experiencing intermittent SQL timeouts. The error message:
"System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding."
We're not seeing any errors on our SQL server, and we don't have the option to modify the code to resolve the problem. Is there a way to modify SQL connection properties for all connections made from the Citrix server?

I am trying to set a Windows user environment variable and then launch an application via either batch file or a script. However, the environment variable is not set to the appropriate value until after the user logs off and logs back on. (I think a more accurate description would be that the new value is not available to the app until after the next logon.)
Is there any way to set a variable in the user's environment so that it's immediately available?
I'm doing this because this program's functionality can be controlled by environment variables, and users will need different functionality at different times. Because of license constraints I need to set this dynamically, if possible.

Is the Membership system included in ASP.NET secure enough to use in a real-world web site? Since I'm not interested in creating my own providers, I'm only interested in the providers Microsoft built in to the system.
