We have the following folder structure:
Folder A
------------Folder A.1
------------Folder A.2
------------Document A.1
I want UserA to be able to see Folder A.2 but nothing else in that folder. So I share Folder A.2 to UserA and using the link in the resulting email they can see the contents of that folder. However if they browse to the SharePoint site they can't see Folder A to then get to Folder A.2. What have I not done?!
When setting compatibility mode in IE 11 it wants to add our whole domain (somedomain.co.uk) but we don't want every site (*.somedomain.co.uk) to be covered by this. We want just sharepoint.somedomain.co.uk and not www.somedomain.co.uk to be rendered using compatibility mode.
Is this possible?

User has a Nexus 4 (running Android 4.4.2 KitKat). When an email arrives in their GMail account inbox the phone does not notify the user of the email. The user has to open the GMail app on the phone and manually refresh. We have tried opening various ports but still this doesn't work.
If disconnected from the corporate Wi-Fi and back on cell coverage it works fine, near instant notification.
What are we missing?
We have a SharePoint 2007 server which is completely stand alone from the rest of the network. It is it's own Domain Controller for it's own Forest (Windows Server 2008). It is available to the Internet. The IIS security setting is Integrated Authentication but when a user is prompted for their credentials when trying to access from outside the Domain, will their username and password be passed in basic text or encrypted somehow?
