In Red Hat 7 I see
-session optional pam_systemd.so
in /etc/pam.d/system-session.
I also see that the - prefix is mentioned in LFS docs:
http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/view/7.6-systemd/general/systemd.html
Please help me understand what does -session means here as opposed to simple session.
I would like to find out how can I trace (show) file access on Solaris.
I already found the dtrace toolkit in a hope that voptrace will fit the bill. I ran it with voptrace -t /my/path if I ls or cat files under that path it produces no output. Am I looking at the wrong tool? Can someone suggest another one to find a solution?

Okay, it was giving error messages like this:
dtrace: error on enabled probe ID 3 (ID 126: syscall::openat:entry): invalid address (0xffd19652) in predicate at DIF offset 28
After redirecting stderr it seems it actually gives quite close to what I want.
I would like to boot Solaris to shell (root prompt) directly for recovery purposes. On linux I would pass a kernel option init=/bin/bash and it would directly boot me into shell without asking for password. How can I achieve the same for Solaris?
I realized the '-s' parameter, but that still asks for password. The official docs suggest booting an installer CD which I would like to avoid.
UPDATE I realized that another proprietary access method was available for me so this question is not that urgent for me, still I leave it up as it maybe interesting later and for others as well.
This is solaris 11 express on x86 hardware.
Both single mode -s and -m milestone=none asks for password:

I would like to grant users of the wheel group (other sysadmins) su access without being asked for password.
I know how to do it with pam in linux, but the question now is for FreeBSD. I am not familiar with the syntax for FreeBSD's PAM subsystem. What shall I enter in /etc/pam.d/su instead of the default:
auth sufficient pam_rootok.so no_warn
auth sufficient pam_self.so no_warn
auth requisite pam_group.so no_warn group=wheel root_only fail_safe ruser
auth include system
# account
account include system
# session
session required pam_permit.so
I need to mass disable interfaces on windows machines (more than 100 machines). I tried using:
netsh interface set "VirtualBox Host-Only Network" disable
But it does not work. (I found an article describing that it works on win 2003 server). I can run commands remotely with psexec.
Do you have any hints?
