We just recently installed and have been using SharePoint 2010 and have run into a bit of a problem opening Excel spreadsheets with the xlsx extension.
We are able to upload a spreadsheet with the xlsx extension, however, when we attempt to download the same spreadsheet we are getting the following error:

An error has occured.
Please try again.
We can open xls files fine as well as docx and pptx files.
When attempting to install Cisco VPN version 4.9.01, I am getting the following error:
The driver is blocked due to compatibility issues

Location: Not Available
This driver is incompatible with the version of Windows you are upgrading to. It is likely that the driver is part of another networking software package and will need to be uninstalled before you attempt this upgrade again.
In addition, this also causes me to loose my internet connection until I uninstall VPN.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have a x64 2003 server and want to upgrade to x64 2008 server. Can this be done as an inplace upgrade or do I need to blow the machine away with a fresh OS install? The 2003 machine has SQL, IIS, and several VMs.
What are my options? What are pros and cons for in-place upgrade vs new install?
When logging into a new virtual machine which was recently added to a domain, I am getting the following error message:
The system cannot log you on due to the following error: The name or security ID (SID) of the domain specified is inconsistent with the trust information for that domain. Please try again or consult your system administrator.
I received the following error on a weekly full backup job on Symantec Backup Exec:
Final error: 0xe0009413 - An error occurred during the snapshot cleanup, or could not locate a snapped volume from which to back up.
I am backing up a Windows 2003 Server. Other backup jobs have run successfully.

We have a Classic ASP web-application that we are hosting with a 3rd party hosting provider (Rackspace). We have ~ 100 databases on a SQL server and around the same number of websites on a Web-Server (IIS). Does anyone have any tips for optimizing performance. We occasionally see memory and CPU spikes throughout the day. We are setup with a simple SQL server and Web-server pair.
