Migrating Windows 2003 print server to Windows 2008 R2 print server. I have exported/imported the printers from old server to new. For the printers that wouldn't import I manually added them and gave them the same name that they have on the old server.

Right now I have left the "List in the directory" checkbox unchecked on the new server for each printer. My plan is to turn off the old server and rename/re-ip the new server to match the old server.

Do I then have to go back and check "List in the Directory" for each printer on the new server? Is there anything else that needs to be done. Will users notice anything or will it be seamless?

I would like to be able to monitor when the state of "Startup Type" for a particular service is changed from Automatic to Manual. I haven't been able to find an event that is triggered in event viewer when Startup Type is changed. Is there anyway I can add an event for this or would there be any other way to monitor this change?

If I go to http://website.com I get the IIS 7 Welcome screen. If I go to http://website.com I would like to be redirected to http://website.com/path/default.html

I need to write a script that will remove all users under Local Computer Policy > Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > User Rights Assignment > Change the system time from the local group policy (gpedit.msc) on all Windows XP machines. These machines are not on the domain. I DO have a way to distribute and run the script automatically. Can someone point me in the right direction for creating a script like this?

I'm looking to move my client's file server, mail, and AutoCad files to the cloud. They currently use public folders to organize and share the CAD drawings. What would be the best solution? Gmail for business or hosted exchange? Should I be using Sharepoint to organize and share the AutoCad drawings or will Google Docs work?
