Please make me sure did I wrong thing, or not.

I'm resizing the root partition which is under the LVM. This server is a VMWare's virtual machine with Oracle Linux. I'm using this article: http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1006371

I think I made a mistake. After 2nd part I booted the VM in a rescue mode, checked that size was the same. Then I recreated 3rd partition (root under LVM) and gave its type as 8e for LVM. I received a partition with the same start point and extended last point. I wrote changes of frisk.

Then I executed pvcreate /dev/sda3 command. It didn't allowed me to do this without -ff key.

So, I made a mistake and can't turn back. I didn't rebooted yet, I passed the system in rescue mode for a time.

Please give an advising is it possible to cancel this situation and make corrections?

I have a task to use Wine on Linux distributive for work with MS Office files doc[x] / xls[x] / ppt[x] and pdf via virtual printer. Output formats I need are png or jpg. This is for converter of documents and presentations.

I can convert a ps file which is output of MS Office 2010 print into file dialog. I can also user pdf2ps utility. So I need first stage - how to print Office's documents into file via command line with Wine? After this I'll be able to convert ps to image formats, or pdf2ps and to images also.

Please, help to find a solution.

I waited the graph line and surprised, because values on the graph are not real. Here is another screenshot I have: http://gyazo.com/ae76d13934952c7f49d0fadf99a7668a Problem is in that we don't have such uplink channel, it's less. So I think I have a mistake of configuring.

I found this topic: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/7097897/zabbix-calculated-item-function-over-multiple-items - and understood that my Item string is fine, in theory.

Why are values not real? Maybe I need something to add, or should use another place to configure this total check.

I need a consulting. I need to connect two servers which are located at another places geographically. One of servers is at LeaseWeb, and another is at our office in Moscow.

I'm using OpenVPN for tunneling. I installed OpenVPN via yum -y install openvpn. After this I'm trying to up interfaces.

Interfaces are upped and seems to work. Unfortunately, I can't to ping, for example, IP 172.16.1.2 from first server. I mind with these messages about UDP. Can you suggest - does my hoster blocks UDP? I wrote a message them, and they told they're blocks tcp/445 and tcp/139 only (it's LeaseWeb).

What I've omitted, in general?

Both my servers are CentOS 5.9 x86. LeaseWeb's server is a Xen DomU, second node are in KVM hypervisor in our office.

I have a big problem. There is one server with CRM database. I corrupted it probably and don't know what to do.

And etc. When I try to watch or make changes I receive

Problem is that I haven't .ibd files, .frm only. Also I haven't full backup .sql file of DB. Now I imported .sql from 9 May date which is so long ago. :( I know .frm doesn't contents data, structure only.

Question is: can I repair somehow or this copy of DB is not repairable? In general, what ways can be use to repair DB if I would have .ibd files? In my case 9 May backup is the best variant I suppose. I have no exit, isn't it?

I have two directories with same PHP application in every of them. I want to execute rsync -rvz from one, source directory to another, destination, so rsync will copy changed files only. Problem is that files in the source directory has 755 permissions, by mistake. Permissions in destination are fine.

How can I tell to rsync ignore permission checkings and check by size only? Thanks.

So, I have '\r' symbol which got from SQL query parsed. And I see this error in the dump:

mysqldump: Got error: 1102: Incorrect database name 'sugarcrm^M' when selecting the database

How can I trim it correctly? With 'correctly' I mean that we can't do it right away 'mysqldatabases' variable has a value. Because here's a one DB, but if it will be two and more, stdout will be wrong. So my opinion is that we must trim the symbol at the 'for' cycle.

We run a web application as a production. Some days ago I discovered the error signed in subject of this theme. I know what's the problem, but want to ask, what is right way for resolve this? Yes, we have ext3 FS on this server (CentOS 5.8).

I think that converting ext3 -> ext4 will fix this situation temporary. Ext4 has this limit twice larger than ext3 ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ext4#Features ).

So, what is the best way?

I plan to setup and configure SVN server. Think about 'lite' web servers, such as nginx or lighttpd. AFAIK nginx has only limited support for the DAV and does not have SVN module itself. Is it correct information?

If so what about lighttpd? Can SVN be properly configured with lighttpd? Please tell about your experience who has it. What is the best solution. Thank you.

And my goal is to exclude requests like http://connect1.webinar.ru/converter/task/. Full view is like http://mydomain.tld/converter/task/setComplete/fid/34330/fn/7c2cfed32ec2eef6788e728fa46f7a80.ppt.swf. Despite the fact these URLs ends in such a format they are not static, but fake script requests, so I have a problems with them.

What is the best way to do this? How can I add an exclusion for this URL or maybe I can to exclude the specific file exptension (.ppt.swf, pptx.swf) from the list of this Nginx location?

I need to proxy connect3.domain.ru host to connect2.domain.ru, but with no URL changed in browser's address bars. My commented out rewrite line could solve this problem, but it's just a rewrite, so I cannot stay with the same URL.
