I have an ASA 5505 with 3 site-to-site vpn's configured and working. I also want to setup a remote access vpn, either using the AnyConnect wizard or just an IPSEC VPN (again using the wizard) to use the Windows 10 VPN client (which works) using the same ASA. However, when I setup the IPSEC or AnyConnect VPN, I lost connection to my site-to-site vpn's. So it seems like I can have one or the other but not both. Is this true or is there some trick that i'm missing, or isn't available when using the ASDM to configure?

Any help would be appreciated !

I have a pair of ASA's on my network,

Both ASA's have their own Static WAN IP's

Internal Interface IP of ASA 1 is 10.7.0.1 (its a /24 subnet)

Internal Interface IP of ASA 2 is 10.7.0.2 (same subnet)

ASA 1 is running DHCP (scope is 10.7.0.40-100) and hands out the addresses to the servers/computers, it also has Site to Site VPN's configured and functioning between 2 of our offices.

ASA 2 has been setup for IPSEC VPN, and external clients can connect, authenticate to ASA 2, receive an IP address from the 10.7.50.0 vpn pool that I created but can't ping the 10.7.0.0 subnet or access any devices on it. The VPN was setup using the ASDM Wizard and i've done this a few times in the past with no issues, so I can't figure out what's wrong in this case. Its too hard to mess up the IPSEC VPN config so I don't think I did anything wrong there, I suspect the problem is on the other ASA

Do I need to add a route on ASA 1 in order for traffic to route back out through ASA 2 ?? Does ASA 1 not recognize the 10.7.50.0 subnet since its setup on ASA 2 ? Its become a frustrating setup

For more info...the WAN ports of the ASA's plug into the same modem to get out to the internet. ASA 2 has a LAN port plugged directly into one of ASA 1's LAN ports, that's how it can see devices on the LAN.

here is my situation.

I have a Dell Server with a Dell Perc 7i controller, (LSI Controller).

I had a drive give me an Failure Predicted warning so I called their support and they came out and replaced the drive and the array rebuilt itself, pretty standard.

Two weeks later, I have another drive giving me the Failure Predicted warning. I figured maybe it was a bad batch of drives or coincidence, etc. So I contact support and look more in-depth. I realize that there were bad blocks on one of the other drives that didn't fail and those bad blocks were copied over during the rebuild. So now I have bad blocks all over the place and they are slowly killing my array. I have come to find that this is called a Punctured Array.

So their advice was to replace all the drives, rebuild the array, and restore from backup. Except i've been having this issue for a few weeks which means my backups are bad...and if I restore from a backup from prior (a month ago) then I will be missing about 4 weeks worth of data from my database which is totally unacceptable for our office.

My question is...has anyone ever recovered from something like this without having to lose data or without the whole (throw it all out the window and start over) approach ?

I just had an NEC PBX installed that lets me use SIP trunks for VoIP services, My gateway is a Cisco ASA 5505 running 8.4 and I only have one public/static IP Addresses.

So far, my trunks are registering and I can make outgoing calls and everything works, but incoming calls are silent (both ways). I'm assuming its because the UDP ports 1024-1215 are not forwarded and neither is SIP (5060).

What I need to do is forward the UDP port range of 1024-1215, however it seems I can't create a port map for UDP, or define a range of ports for UDP in a static Route. Any help in the right direction would be appreciated !!! (I was told ASA 8.4 would allow forwarding of a range of ports so I upgraded and now I'm a bit lost with the new commands)

Using the ASDM I gave it a few tries but here were my results:

I have a Barracuda Web Filter 210 that was stored away in our vast IT junkyard about two years ago by previous IT. I recently came across it and wanted to put it to use but found that it's subscription hasn't been renewed since its removal.

I called and got all the necessary details but Barracuda wanted me to pay for those two years that its been sitting on a shelf before extending my subscription for updates and my boss pretty much called me retarded for considering paying it. He called it a "ransom".

So, before I go throwing it in a dumpster, I wanted to see if its useful at all to use the web filter for a guest network or something without it's updates. Will it still function within a decent threshold or is it just a piece of junk at this point?

I have a Dell PowerEdge 2950 getting a "PCIe Degraded Link Width Error : Internal Storage Slot" its out of warranty so I can't harass Dell about it, thought i'd see if anyone here has experienced this.

I have already removed and reseated the backplane, riser card, RAID controller, and the RAM on the Controller. Even removed and reseated all the drives and booted the server without the RAID card, then shut down and installed the RAID card. I didn't get the error when the RAID card was removed so i'm thinking the error is directly related to the RAID card somehow...however, I can still access the RAID BIOS and see the status of all the drives, which shows everything to be ok. I can not access the Dell BIOS though.

I have a network consisting of a single server and a dozen workstations which connect through a Gigabit switch, I want to bring internet connectivity to the network so I got an ASA 5505 but didn't consider its lack of Gigabit throughput. I'm not fully versed on the flow of network traffic either so my question is...will the workstations continue to communicate with each other and the server at Gigabit speed or will all traffic flow through the ASA and get cut down to 100mbit?
