I'm currently using VPNC on my Ubuntu machine to VPN to a remote Cisco firelwall. It's critical for this VPN connection to be up at all time.
Is there a way to have VPNC failover automatically to a second Cisco firewall in case the main firewall goes down for some reason?
I'm testing Celery with RabbitMQ on Ubuntu11.04 on a python project that is not a django project.
I have my celeryconfig.py and my test.py file in /mypath/myproject/.
My /etc/default/celeryd looks like this:

CELERYD_CHDIR= "/mypath/myproject/"
# Extra arguments to celeryd
CELERYD_OPTS=”–time-limit=300”
# Name of the celery config module.#
CELERY_CONFIG_MODULE=”celeryconfig”
When I run sudo /etc/init.d/celeryd start I get this error message:
/etc/default/celeryd: line 2: /mypath/myproject/: Is a directory
Any ideas? I followed these instructions.
I've read a couple of articles that Eucalyptus doesn't support bootable EBS yet. This is a problem since you can't make a backup form an instance like you a able on Amazon cloud or Rack Space Cloud.
If you ever reboot the physical Ecalyptus sever that's running the node controller the instance is gone along with all your settings. Are there any alternatives to Eucalyptus or is just the only game in town when it comes to open source cloud?
I've installed Ubuntu Enterprise Cloud on a server and I'm able to bring up an instance from a image and the instance shows that is running. I see the IPs allocated to that instance but for some reason I can't access it via SSH.
euca-describe-groups shows:
GROUP admin default default group
PERMISSION admin default ALLOWS tcp 22 22 FROM CIDR 0.0.0.0/0
I'm on the same network as the instance so I'm sure is not an networking problem (like routers, switches etc.).
Any ides?
Is it possible to download a Amazon EC2 image and have it run on a local (Ubuntu powered) Eucalyptus? If that's possible how?
I will eventually build a local could based on Ubuntu 10.10 but until then I would like first to start the development on the Amazon EC2 and when I get my hardware to move that EC2 image to my local machine.
