I have a Domain controller at 2 different sites with 2 different subnets. My goal is to have a primary DNS and a secondary DNS between sites. I've pointed each server to each other. The DNS address were also added to the Cisco router to be distributed to clients dynamically. The clients are receiving the address. But when I turn off the primary DNS server the secondary domain controller does not take over, what can possibly be the issue here ?
I'm trying to map a network drive using item level targeting based on a security group. When I map the drive based on security group it doesn't show up on client computers. If I map the drive based on a single user it works. Why is this happening
In my domain environment I have a guest machine that acts as a file sever. I've recently purchased a new server for the purpose of implementing high availability between the 2 servers/sites. How can I go about implementing a failover cluster with the existing file server which already hosts shared folders along with implementing the new server.
I recently installed a secondary domain controller within my organization which also holds the DNS Role. If one DC goes down I would like all client machines to look for the secondary Domain controller. How can I remotely add the secondary DNS to all client machines without having to physically go to each client machine?
