I have a single server running SharePoint 3.0 on WS2003 Sp2 not on a domain. My search service stopped working so I just went in to central admin and hit stop, then hit start. I soon found out this is not the way to do this process. I now can not get the search service to start again. I have tried everything I can think of, and nothing works it changes status to Starting but never gets to started. I have to go in with "stsadm -o spsearch -action stop" from the command prompt to stop it. I am using the Local service account for the service and the content accounts. Can anyone help me?

I have a Dell PowerEdge 2970. Currently it runs as a ESXi server with a handful of VM's on it. I have 3 300GB drives plugged in to it, and 5 open trays across the front. It is setup as a hardware Raid5 from the factory. My question is if I start running low on disc space, can I just add on by pushing another hard drive into a empty slot, or will I need to back everything up and rebuild the array? If I can't just plug in another hard drive, would it be better to add 3 more drives, and build a second Raid5 to avoid losing any data that I have
I have a computer in a remote location (6 hour drive) on a BOVPN back to our home office. The remote computer is running XP Pro, DC is on Sever 03 all system 100% up to date. The user was logged in and everything was working fine. The user restarted and now can not log on to the system. Gets the "Domain controller can not be reached" error. I can ping the system, and connect with the remote registry, but I get challenged for a password even though I am logged in as an Admin. When I give it the login information for the admin accoutn, it tells me "Access is denied". Any advice for what I could try before I drive 6 hours?
I have a user using Outlook 07 on a Windows XP SP3 machine. The computer is also using McAfee anti virus. If the user sends email it seems to work fine. Then they will export all of the company pay stubs from Quickbooks enterprise solutions 9.0, 60 emails go into Outlook outbox, and about 35 will send. The rest just sit in the outbox. They are italic but not bold like usual. The only way to get them to send is to close outlook, and reopen it. This will send 2-3, then repeat. Moving the mail to drafts, the re-sending does nothing. Our mail server is off-site and not linked to our domain. Just using good old POP3 and SMTP.
