I'm trying to install python-ldap on a Gentoo Server. It is running a Django application which I want to use LDAP Auth. Im using virtualenv to manage my python dependencies. I can't install python-ldap with pip in my virtualenv. It always fails to compile the C parts. I tried to emerge openldap but I alway get "sasl.h no such file or directory". Have anyone managed to get python-ldap working on Gentoo? Im using Python 2.7

I would like to set the reply-to field to the sender of the mail if the recipient matches some addresses. I know I could do a regular expression like this to do this
/^(To|Cc):.*[email protected]/ PREPEND Reply-To: [email protected]
But that would be static, is there a way to set the sender of the message?
I have a LDAP and a Dovecot running on my server, the Dovecot uses LDAP as userdb and authdb, postfix is using LDA (deliver) to deliver the mails to the user. Now I want to have group email addresses like [email protected]. This group is in my ldap like this:

How can I get my dovecot LDA to except emails sent to [email protected] and then send the mail to the uniqueMembers of the group?

I want to use managesieve in my dovecot server which uses virtual users and a ldap for the users. This is in my dovecot.conf:

I want to change the settings my new LDAP server let only users of the server read entries and not anonymous. Currently my olcAccess looks like this:
olcAccess: {0} to attrs=userPassword,shadowLastChange by self write by anonymous auth by dn="cn=admin,dc=example,dc=com" write by * none
olcAccess: {1} to * by self write by dn="cn=admin,dc=example,dc=com" write by * read
I tried to change it like so:
olcAccess: {0}to attrs=userPassword,shadowLastChange by self write by anonymous auth by dn="cn=admin,dc=example,dc=com" write by * none
olcAccess: {1} to * by self write by dn="cn=admin,dc=exampme,dc=com" write by users read
But that gives me no access at all. Can someone help me on this?

pbrechler should be a valid user but has no system user (we don't need it) admin does't work also
We are running a Mac OS X Leopard Server 10.5.8 on a Intel XServe. Most of the data is stored on the internal disks. When clients (mostly Snow Leopard) connect to the server and use it normally for a while (storing files, saving to the server's share points) it happens sometimes that some folders are showing up 2-10 times, all with the exact same name and content or some folders are missing or have no content at all. This phenomenon is visible for some seconds and on more then one client on different folders. Sometimes folders a showing up and get hidden all 1-2 seconds. I tried the following: I cleared the caches in the library folders, I installed a combo update, deleted all .DS_Store files on the share points and checked the hard drives, nothing helped. Interestingly this does not happen on a share that is stored on a external RAID System which is connected over FW800.
Is this a known issue? What can I do about it?
