I have just ghosted an Ubuntu (12.04) instance from a 200GB HD to a 1TB HD. The ghosted instance has two mounted storage partitions both of about 100GB each and I have the following partition table:

/dev/sda1      ext4             /

  /dev/sda5    linux-swap       
/dev/sda3      ext4             /development
/dev/sda4      ext4             

/dev/sda4 is a copy of /dev/sda1, just on a larger partition. I now want the /dev/sda4 partition to be mounted at root (/) so that it is the default boot partition.

Finally a question - how can I change the /dev/sda4 partition to be mounted at root?

I have a server running 3 WordPress instances, MySql, Apache and the play framework 2.0 on 64m initial & max heap. If I increase the max heap of the JVM that play is running in even by 16m I see the 128m of swap space steadily fill up until the the JVM dies.

I notice that it is only when I am plugging away at the wordpress sites that the JVM will die. I assume this is because the JVM is not asking for memory at the time so gets collected.

I notice that when I restart Apache I reclaim about half of my swap and RAM. So is there some way I can configure apache to consume less memory? Also what could be causing the swap space to get so heavily thrashed with just 16m added to the max heap size of the JVM?

I am a complete n00b to configuring Jabber/XMPP servers and I am hoping to get some help getting set up. I have done all of this and installed pidgin. I seem to be able set up my "admin-user" in pidgin no problem but when I try to register a new user I get a 403 Fobidden message back from pidgin.

Do I need to change the ejabberd.cfg file to allow users to register? If so how do I go about it? If not what do I need to get basic chat and fileshare going?

I saw this post but it doesn't really address my situation. I am trying to add a second Address record for the same IP address but for some reason I am constantly getting a 404 bounce from dsnextgen.com??

Is it possible to set more then one Address record for one shared machine? If so any ideas why I'm getting a 404 bounce from dsnextgen.com?
