We are running Exchange 2007 with a mix of Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007. Is it possible to set the Out of Office Assistant so that when OoO is enabled, it sends a reply to every single email the user receives? Also, is there something I can reference that covers the options for OoO such as length of time between replies, etc.?

EDIT: We connected an air card to the computer to use a different Internet connection and using the Cisco software, we were able to successfully connect to our VPN server. I just don't understand why the ShrewSoft VPN client would connect but the Cisco connection won't.
I'm not our network admin so sorry if I butcher some of the terminology.
I have a computer at remote site that connects to our network through Cisco VPN. It uses the Cisco VPN software to do so. The problem is that the computer at this site cannot connect to our VPN because it is getting error "Reason 412: The remote peer is no longer responding."

To see if perhaps something on their network was blocking the connection, I installed the ShrewSoft VPN client on the computer, imported our .pcf file and connected with no problem. I have tried two different versions of the Cisco VPN software (4.8.0.* and 5.0.03.*) and have the same problem.
I installed Wireshark on the computer and have confirmed (while trying to connect through Cisco) that the computer is trying to contact the VPN server but is not receiving a response.

We are not having any other problems regarding users not being able to connect. I'm at a loss at what else to check. I'll be monitoring this and have access to the computer at any time.
I have an iSeries serve running Windows 2003 server - let's call the server EMERALD. EMERALD is out of disk space and I cannot remotely connect to the server. I have gone to the physical server and cannot get it to recognize a keyboard/mouse so I can't connect physically either.
Any suggestions for trying to clear up some disk space? I believe not being able to remotely connect has to do with there lack of space so even if I can clear off 100-200 MB's just to get me started would be great.
I have a BlackBerry 8330 that is activated on our BES server. Is it possible to have personal distribution lists sync to the BlackBerry?
What impact (if any) does changing a primary email address in Exchange have on BlackBerries that are activated on that server?
For example, say I have a primary email address of [email protected] and I have a BlackBerry that has been activated with that address. Now say that primary address changes to [email protected]? Will I need to wipe and re-activate my BlackBerry or will it be a seamless change?
Now, what happens if the company no longer has the xyz.com (former primary) domain but adds the def.com domain and makes that the primary?
Sorry if my question isn't clear. Let me know if there are any questions and I'll clarify. For what it's worth, a 3rd party does our Exchange/BES hosting and I asked them this same question. They said it shouldn't have any impact but that was a "best guess".
What exactly does a red 'X' in Active Directory represent? I know that a red 'X' over a user account means the account is disabled, but what does it represent when placed next to a Computer object?
I have a few employees who only have access to one website. This website they use for absolutely everything they do and they have started to tell me how slow it is as certain parts of the day. At certain parts of the day when it becomes really bad, they will click a button to submit a form and the request will take so long it will time out and make them log back in.
Let me be clear, the only thing that is slow is the web site. It is not the time it takes IE to load
The site in question has nothing to do with our company and is controlled by another company. There is nothing special about the connection between us and them.
No one else in our company is complaining about slow Internet access or anything else that would lead me to believe this problem is on our network.
An IT manager for the company who runs the site said "we have 150 sites as your company is the only one reporting problems."
To eliminate our network as the culprit, I have thought of a couple different ways to test.
I have yet to find any software that will help me with idea #2. Any suggestions?
Can you think of anything else that would help determine where the problem is?
Where I work we use a piece of software called Dameware to remotely manage computers on our domain. Through Dameware we are able to get a list of all of the computers that are online and currently connected to the domain.
We are in the process of rolling out new desktop management software that does not provide this feature to us. We need to know the name of a computer when we want to connect to it.
I know how to get a list of the computers that belong to the domain but that also returns computers that may or may not be online. How do I return a list of computers that are currently connected (ie. they have an active network connection) to the domain? I thought about returning a list of computers that belong to the domain and then pinging each one but I think that would be slow and a complete waste of resources.
Have you run in to this problem before and if so, what solutions have worked for you? I would prefer a .NET solution but VB script will work as well. I may end up building a GUI for this that I would distribute to members of our IT team.
