I recently adquired a cisco switch 2960G24TC, I installed it on the rack of my servers and everything is ok, but how do I login the switch? it does not have an IP address, how do I login through ssh from a server from the network.
I want to administer it from the CLI.
I suddenly must configure two cisco switch 2960s within the same network, basically the idea is that through two cables they will physically be connected but logically, in each switch, two ports must look like one and be aggregated.
What should I do? I do not know much about Cisco and Switches.
Any recommendation?
Sorry I have not idea about windows, not really interested (I always use Linux) but at my work gotta use it now, so it's the rule.
My problem is with Wmware and a network issue, let me explain you:
A) I gotta a laptop with windows 7 here are my network configuration (the IP is fixed):
ip: 192.168.1.236 netmask: 255.255.255.0 default gateway: 192.168.1.1 DNS:192.168.1.113
B) I have the wmware player network adaptor defined, maybe that's wrong?:
I just configured ip and subnet mask:
ip:192.168.1.1 netmask: 255.255.255.0
C) I have a debian installed under the Vmware and I settup the network with another fix ip it's been assigned to me to by the network admin:
ip: 192.168.1.238 netmask: 255.255.255.0 default gateway: 192.168.1.1 DNS:192.168.1.113 broadcast: 192.168.1.255
A) to have the debian virtual machine with access to the internet B) I want that virtual machine visible into the network to the others as if it was another common server
A) When I settup the VMware with NAT my virtual server can be seen in the network with the assigned ip but can't reach the internet
B) when I settup the Wmware virtual machine in bridge or host only I can reach the internet from the virtual machine but can't be seen on my network by another computer
I'm sure that I am doing something super wrong, probabilly I'm network idiot, but.... no idea.

I have domain in one company, with an specific NS entries, but I don't want changes the NS entries.
The server is in another company with public IP.
If I want to point from my domain to the server, is enough with adding an A record into the domain company, that A entry would point to my public IP.
Is that OK?
How long it takes the changes?
How can I trace the A record propagation?

I'm starting to configure collectd, but the main problem I got is that when I load the Network plugin it says next:
Could not find plugin network. Found a configuration for the `network' plugin, but the plugin isn't loaded or didn't register a configuration callback.
No idea why, should I install every single plugin? I thought it was installed by default, and... how should I install a plugin?
I was wondering about my domain and if this is correct.
First of all this is my set up:
Until now I have set up the Google Apps MX entries in my domain through the GoDaddy manager, but now I want to set up the hosting I have from DreamHost.
I understand that all I have to do is to setup next dreamhost NS entries into the goddady domain manager:
NS1.DREAMHOST.COM. 66.33.206.206 NS2.DREAMHOST.COM. 208.96.10.221 NS3.DREAMHOST.COM. 66.33.216.216
My question is: will my mail keep working correctly once the MX entries I set up in GoDaddy are the google apps ones?
