I have VPS run on Ubuntu 20.04, I was asking to Customer Service of my VPS Provider, she said their service (VPS) currently is not supporting IPv6. Since she is not technical support, I believe my VPS itself support IPv6.

I said so because my VPS is responding another IPv6 when I ping my VPS. Not only ping, But also HTTP request with using IPv6. When I open my website which hosted in that VPS. I enter the IPv6 of my VPS in url form of my browser [xx:xx...:xx]:80 then it redirect to my domain. Since I intended setup redirect it in my VPS. That's why I more believe that's IPv6 is mine.

At first when I check ifconfig, yeah there are no IPv6 word that mention it. I manually add IPv6 with ifconfig command flags itself.

But unfortunately, when my VPS ping another IPv6 server, it said Host unreachable

So I guess that customer service is not true. My VPS have IPv6 although only for incoming connection even though unable to perform outcoming connection.

So Is it possible I can do Outcoming connection in my VPS with IPv6?

When I realized that my VPS has IPv6? It was when I login SSH with my another VPS with IPv6 only into my IPv4 only VPS. That's make me wonder why my IPv4 VPS accept that connection?

Edit: I turned off WARP Tunnel (3rd party) (there's no wgcf interface anymore)

This is when I run ping google DNS for example ping 2001:4860:4860::8888 Output: ping: connect: Network is unreachable

Ofcourse it will work if I use that 3rd party (warp tunnel or wgcf interface that actually using proxy)

I have VPS let's say VPS X that doesn't have IPv4 but only has IPv6.

and

I have VPS let's say VPS Y that doesn't have IPv6 but only has IPv4.

Since IPv4 is still common used today, and some device unable to access IPv6.

I want use VPS Y network card as an IPv4 for VPS X since VPS X doesn't have IPv4.

I want UDP Port in VPS Y is listening incoming connection from internet then forward the UDP datagram to the UDP Port in VPS X.

I can achieve it with using SSH Forwarding with run this command in VPS X.

SSH -NR 19132:localhost:19133 server

I can connect SSH from VPS X to the VPS Y. But VPS Y can't connect to the VPS X.

Unfortunately SSH Forwarding is only work for TCP Port. While I want UDP Port Forwarding because minecraft bedrock server is using UDP.

How do I make special query log file from a certain zone.

While my current log config is

logging {
        channel query_logging {
                file "/var/log/named/query.log" versions 5>
                //severity debug 1;
                print-time yes;
                //print-severity yes;
                //print-category yes;
        };

        category queries {
                query_logging;
        };
};

That config is logging all queries from any zone and save it to one file. What I want is I want record for specify zone and save the log to specify file.

For example zone example.com.

So for any query line that contain example.com word will saved to specify file.

Note: my zone is encapsulated by view.

If bind can't handle it, maybe regex can do it? But how save the regex result to a file periodically? I'm wonder it will be waste CPU resource if use regex.

I know DDNS is translating Dynamic IP (IP which always changes in a device) to a Domain, but I don't know how the story behind it or I don't know how does it work.

I'm using bind9 as DNS server, we know in bind9, there file contain record file. Then what the difference if I program zone file like mydomain.com.db which contain many records where program modified (read/write) that file?

Basically my program is like how We manually change record when using text editor (nano or vim) to record files.

Also what is difference of Dynamic DNS and Dynamic Zone in bind9?

How to umount this cgroup?

Also i have no idea is it important or not. It seem cgroup is comefrom docker but im still not sure.

I was trying install gns3-remote

And it give me cgroup like this.

Then i deleted gns3-remote because it's for fresh vps not my private vps. I dont need it anymore. Also im still not sure if i clearly remove it

Is it okay keep this cgroup? Im just annoying seeing this filesystem too much. I just want look my vps fresh like just bornenter image description here

I'm planning make two websites in same machine. Which first website running on port 8433 and second website running on port 9433

Im using ubuntu 20.04 Assume i have two domains, let's say foo.me and bar.me Both domain is pointed to same public IP and different SSL.

consider there's an incoming request to port 80 or 443

if HTTP header contain foo.me then the request will forward to port 8433

if HTTP header contain bar.me then the request will forward to 9433.
