How can I set connection charset to utf8 in apache mod_dbd with mysql driver? I could not find any corresponding parameter in DBDParams, something like this:

DBDParams host=localhost,dbname=my_db,user=my_user,pass=my_pass,reconnect=0,charset=utf8

which of course there is no such charset parameter in reality.

I'm running Apache 2.4 (mpm event mode + php-fpm) on CentOS 7. For HTTP requests which take longer than 60 seconds (whether it's a dynamic PHP page or a static page), exactly after one minute I receive a 503 service unavailable error page. If I access same page through HTTPS protocol, everything seems to be OK. In both cases, PHP scripts continue to run till the end properly, but in former case clients receive an error page and its strongly unpleasant. I guess it maybe is a network related problem or something related to CentOS limitations (SELinux is also off)
Any ideas?

There are some files (with unique names) in a directory structure like this:

/var/www/domain1/unique_filename1
/var/www/domain2/unique_filename2
/var/www/domain3/unique_filename3

At the moment, all of the domain directories are accessible as sub-directories of a master domain and clients can access the files using following URIs:

www.my-master-domain.com/domain1/unique_filename1
www.my-master-domain.com/domain2/unique_filename2
www.my-master-domain.com/domain3/unique_filename3

I'd like to modify Apache 2.4 configuration so that I will be able to access files without mentioning secondary domains in my URLs, for example:

www.my-master-domain.com/unique_filename1
www.my-master-domain.com/unique_filename2
www.my-master-domain.com/unique_filename3

And of course it's not desirable to do any redirect on client browsers (and event If I wanted, it would not be possible in this special case), I just need to directly server the files via second set of mentioned URLs.

Any ideas?

I'm running MySQL 5.7 with 1GB of innodb_log_file_size on CentOS 7 x64 and I can't change the value of that parameter right now.
In the case of crashes, it takes about 20 minutes to recover, but within this 20 minutes mysql process doesn't seem to use system resources efficiently (i.e. it has a very mild CPU usage).
I need to know is there any way to force MySQL to do this process a little bit faster using configuration parameters? (for example by increasing number of recovery threads or allocating more RAM space)

I've a mysql server (v5.6) running on ubuntu server 10 x64. It's always up and running with a medium traffic, but every while it crashes & restarts without lefting any log message behind, after restarting, it begins crash recovery which usually takes about 10 minutes & mysql error.log file resets & it looks like the following:

Is there anything that I can do to preserve log which shows crash source, so I would be able to fix the problem.

I want to transfer my web application from tomcat7 / java7 to tomcat 8.5 / java8. My application consists of a directory with some JSP files & WEB-INF folder which contains my application's web.xml :

Suppose that I've following servlet implementation:

I've made a separate jar file which contains all of my servlet implementations and added it to TOMCAT-HOME/lib folder (Because it's used by several virtual hosts & I don't want to load it in the memory separately for every virtual host).

The problem is that when tomcat starts, I get this message it catalina.out:

I've configured Apache tomcat7 as backend & apache2.2 as frontend both on same CentOS 6 server & here is part of my configurations:
In Server.xml I have:

The problem is that some servlets on my tomcat server takes about 3 minutes to complete, but after one minute the opened socket to server (no matter what client I use, whether browser or any other client application) is closed by server unexpectedly (anyway, servlet execution continues until the end, even after socket was closed).
In sysctl.conf I changed value for net.ipv4.tcp_fin_timeout to 600 and I'm sure that it's not an OS timeout problem, because when I access another time-consuming script without mod_proxy (e.g. a PHP script with 3 minutes execution time on same apache server), it works fine with all clients.
Any suggestion will be appreciated

SPDY module is designed to only work with secure connections (SSL-enabled websites).
I want to know there is any fork of that project (specifically MOD_SPDY for apache) which bypasses SSL and works over non-secure HTTP (and not HTTPS) connections?
If no, is it possible to modify and rebuild the source (easily!) for that purpose?

now when I connect to it on windows (with openvpn-gui client) everything is OK, but when I use same client config to connect in an android device (using openvpn connect), I get following warning at server side:

now the problem is that many times I see many connections with S (service) status in tomcat manager (server status), something like this:

these connections seems to open for a long time, but they have not any send or receive & even background code execution & cpu consumption (so I assume that my servlet code is OK), they look like just some zombie connections & they won't destroy till restarting tomcat server (restarting apache server & even tomcat virtual hosts via host manager has no effect on them)!
I checked all possible related parameters, but I could not find source of this problem.

I've installed a postfix server on a debian OS & also I've installed apache 2.0 with PHP on same machine.

Several days ago my server begun to send a lot of spam messages via postfix. I understood the problem causes by a bad joomla patch & removed it (I totally removed installed joomla scripts). I also changed some configurations of postfix to make it more restrictive.

Now, after several days, when I start postfix, it still begins to send spams immediately & slows down server very badly. Seems that source of this spam sending is local (an infected process) & I strongly guess apache process is sending these spams (apache process itself & not a PHP script), because when I start postfix, a lot of apache processes begin to create & I really don't know how I should find & fix infected process.

Can anybody help me to solve this annoying problem?

I've a debian linux server with apache2.2 & php5 installed.
I've created many virtual hosts on my apache server, each virtual host has a separate root directory & php is enabled for all of them. Now I need to limit php scripts in each virtual host in some manner that they can only read, write or modify only in v-host root directory & it's sub-directories (& not parent directories), in other hand, I want create a jail for scripts which are running on every virtual host.
For example, php scripts that located in /var/www/vhost1 can only access to files in same directory & sub-dirs & they don't have access to /var/www/host2 files (not for read nor modifying them).
any idea?

I'm running nginx 1.3.5 under windows seven, I need to execute nginx directly from a read-only media (CD or DVD), but when I want to run it, it fails with this error:

where J is my CD-ROM drive letter.
I've changed nginx.conf to disable logging completely, but seems anyway it still tries to build a file named 'error.log' in '/logs' folder & some extra temporary contents in '/temp' folder at the startup, so I want to change 'logs' & 'temp' directory path to windows temp folder (%temp%), but I dont have any idea that how can I do it.
Also I want to know why nginx still creates 'logs/error.log' after disableing error logging ?

I've installed MySQL 5.5.15 on debian-lenny server. I used default instruction & settings to install it.
Now, my server starts successfully, but seem non of my specified settings in /etc/my.cnf take effect(e.g. collation-server or des-key-file parameters) but when I enter an invalid setting, my server fails at startup(seems that some settings like base_dir or data_dir take effect correctly).
