What happens: users mailbox is archived locally for reduce mail box size. Other db's contains links to e-mail messages and are not longer available, because the message is gone from the mailbox to the archive.
Is there any way to indicate a fail-over when the message isn't found in the mailbox (at least for the local user) ?

In /srv/www/horde/horde/config I have:

Apache2 runs with default site with sym link in /var/www/horde -> /srv/www/horde.
Can someone confirm that ESXi5 v.5.1 works on a HP ProLiant DL320 G5. VMWare compatibility matrix shows DL320 G6. If it works, do you use any specific drivers ?
On my debian6 server is a process that only listen on IPv6 but I also need to listen on IPv4. It seems the program is IPv6 only. Is there a way to route the traffic fom IPv6 to IPv4 on the same host ?
I have a sip-able PBX. My Sipdroid phone works on local network. From outside I route the traffic thru a firewall. Even all rules are ok I cannot connect to the PBX with sip when traffic is routed.
Is there anything else to have in count when using SIP in routed networks ?
I have a Drupal based web site on a relative small vserver (512MB RAM). Recently the website begins to return php out of memory messages like this:
Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 17039360) (tried to allocate 77824 bytes) in /home/...
All php.ini memory limit parameters are set to off (-1).
Propably the website has gained of complexity, content, etc. But I cannot interpret fine that message: Does that mean that the whole request has allocated 17MB(?) right now and cannot get 7KB(?) more from the OS. Has the web server spend all memory or has the OS no more memory to allocate ?
I'm not shure if the memory overhead is coming from the web server or another service, because when I get the out-of-memoy message I can't get into the server with ssh. After a while all runs fine again.
I have a new HP DL120 G7 server with ESXi5. One VM is a Win2003 instalation and I have an external USB2.0 drive attached by USB Controller and USB Device.
I copy a 4GB file from external USB to server disk.
In the VM that takes up to 10 minutes.
On a native Win2003 that takes aprox. 3 minutes.

I'm going to re-build a very old Lotus Notes infrastructure coming from 4.x towards 8.5.
I'm trying to setup Domino so that all user names should be of a single string or the internet e-mail address.
For example the user "John Smith/ACME" should be in the whole system jsmith or [email protected] .
I still get jsmith/ACME all around.
Where it is most annoying is in the NAB when creating a new message. Is there a way to get all addresses in uniform standard e-mail adress format at least in mail ? The mixup in the destination like "John Smith/ACME, [email protected]" confused the users.
I'm testing ESXi 5.0U1 on a small box. One VM for testing and all setup for auto start VM on boot but the VM don't come up.
I'm going to get a new server probably with OS Win2008 Server. That server will run some VM. Some with Linux, others with Windows.
Grant the Win2008 server license similiar rights to run e.g. Win2003 Server virtual instances, as Win7 desktop does with WinXP ?

I'm trying to configure routing between two networks with the same address. They are connected through a router with 2 NICs (Linux machine).
Consider the figure above: How may I configure the routing so that a request from 192.168.1.10 on the right made to 192.168.1.100:4455 goes to 192.168.1.10:80 on the left?

I'm going to add a SQL2008r2Express instance to a Win2003 server where a SQL2008 instance already exists. The new (express) instance will have another name, of course. That is to use the 10GB free database with the express edition.
Are there any issues or further readings to do so ?
My exim4 don't send any message. The logs says

I supose that clamav (running clamd) does'nt have access rights on the mentioned file, but clamav is in the same group as Debian-exim (running exim4). Even changing the folder permissions to a+rwx has no effect.
Any idea where to look for failure reason ?
I have a exim4 setup as SMTP. My user naming schema is to name all mail users for this server as m001, m002, m003, ... and then redirect to a real e-mail address with virtual domains.
How can I allow my users to authenticate with exim to send mail using either their system user name (m001) or the email address ([email protected])?
User login information for m001 are stored in linux system files (passwd, shadow). They are linked thru entries in a virtual address table for each domain that this server can serve:

Running exim4 i cannot figure out how to send a notice message to the sender, if a certain address gets mail (the address of the user that will left the company).
I have a script running that will start up an interface with a new IP.
If the script comes up with an IP that is already in use i am in trouble.
Is it possible that the script set up the new Ip, detects that this IP is already in use and then check the next one, until it finds an ip that works ?

I have a very weird problem with one Windows XP installation: when connecting to a remote desktop (on Windows 2008 Server) to type in the at sign (@) it is necessary to press Ctrl-Alt-2 (on a spanish keyboard) when on local it is done with AltGr-2 and this doesn't work in the remote session.
To make this problem weird it seems that it is given but it is not sending to the application. To connect on webmail the user has to put in the mail account as user name and the username is always rejected. When copy/paste from the local session it is ok!?!.
Is there a possibility to re-install the remote desktop client? Thank you.
I have to get a new vserver from a well known ISP hoster. I will take Debian minimal anyway But i'm not shure getting 32bit or 64bit. The caracteristics of the VM do not need 64b (RAM max. 758Mb).
Nowerdays i think (i don't know) there is no diference in functionality of an Debian 32b or 64b sytem. I am right ?
Any pros/contras for 32b/64b ? Thank you.
Update My vserver will be a node/guest on the hosters system.
Sometimes i have to connect with remote desktop to remote workstations with the user's login.
What happens sometimes is after closing the remote session and the user opens the local session all desktop icons are re-arranged and mis-placed. So the user has to place the icons where there are before. Very annoying.
Is there a way to avoid this ? Thank you.

That is a really Windows enigma, annoying all Windows user's (even when you change screen resolution on local) and no solution. Remote Desktop should (with option) advise you are connecting to a remote system with higher resolution.
