We use a .NET based web application for our daily transactions.

This web application uses java scripts and vb scripts extensively. We are able to connect to the site and authenticate. However the site is not fully functional when we login from one particular LAN but the site works fine when we login from else where.

Any ideas what could be the problem or if you have faced such issue before?

I have a terminal server (Windows 2003) serving 10-15 users. I have a list of internet/intranet secure sites configured in administrator account for which security level is set to low. However when a remote user logins in to a session, the settings for IE are set to default in the profile and wouldn't let the user change them. How can I make changes to IE8 for these users and make them effective for all the RDP users?

What are key components to take care of in an inhouse or hosted email system? What configuration settings doea an administrator have to go through periodically?

What are the most common periodic activities that are to be performed to make sure that medium to large Active Directory implementation runs smoothly and securely.

I have a Dell PowerEdge 2650 and I'm running Windows Server 2003. Here is some back ground on the hardware of this Dell PE 2650.

I have 4 (not 5) 17GB RAID drives and has set up two containers. In the first container (17GB) I have drive-0 and drive-1 as RAID 1 Mirror for OS/System Drive and in second container (34GB) I have drive-2 and drive-3 as 'VOLUME'. I realized that Windows Server 2003 didn't recognize the second container drive space. How can I make Windows detect my 34gig volume?

I have Windows Server 2008 running on Dell PowerEdge 1425 SC. The unit has two NICs and I want to use them in a clustered mode for maximum efficiency (throughput) to avoid bottlenecks.

Do I need to use third party tools or does windows have any built-in tools to achieve this?

After an unsuccessful first attempt during which I had option to boot from disc and begin install, my DELL 1425SC started throwing this error:

BOOTMGR IS MISSING
PRESS CTRL+ALT+DEL TO RESTART

From top of my head I think I messed around with Boot manager files on HDD during first attempt.

Any solutions?

I am planning to implement active directory on Windows Server 2003. Right now there is no AD setup in the network. We have about 80 users in this location and 300 other users across various locations.

Have few questions here:

1. Should I assign local IP or should I go for static IP right away (DNS)?
2. Which tool/strategy should I use to create existing users in AD?
3. If I use local IP and decentralize AD across locations will I be able to integrate at a later time?

How do I give access to SQL Server 2005 Reports for users outside domain without using FBA.

I've built report using SSRS 2005 and published it on the report server.

The account is able to access the ASP.NET page which has the report control on it.

However the report area is inaccessible and gives 401 error for unauthenticated user.
