I have a SVN repository which was running locally when I had an old installation of Windows. After reinstalling Windows, obviously the old SVN server installation was removed, and now I have no idea how to still use this old repository? I haven't tried the svn create on the old server, as I am afraid that I'll lose everything in the repo?
I need to either still be able to use this using any SVN server software, or convert it to git. Either is fine!
Any help would be appreciated.
I need to re-build a Server 2008 R2 instance, but I don't want to lose all the current Active Directory info, what's the best way to go about it?
The reason I'm rebuilding over repairing is great, as the server has many issues (I inherited them from previous IT):
Any one or two of these issues, and I'd just try to repair the server, but at this point; unless there's no way to safely migrate the AD users/permissions, I think I'm better off with a clean install.
I recently installed postfix but I did something wrong. And so I removed it with sudo apt-get remove postfix and removed the /etc/postfix folder.
But now I want to install it again but I don't get the installer prompts where I can choose Internet Site and other options. How can I solve this?
I have removed samba using :
apt-get --purge remove samba
and then Manually removed the smb.conf using rm *.* after going to the Samba directory.
Now While I trying to install Samba again I am getting the following error:

I am unable understand why this is happening. Please help

After trying ps aux | grep samba getting the follwing response:

Have no idea what to do with this?

I have already removed smb.cnf file
I'm having a large problem with our development server, it have had a program called Webmin + a total idiot have been administrating the Linux sever. Witch now have resulted in the server being totally trashed, there are so many different kinds of the same program install that anything doesn’t work. And don't get me started on the users and groups :D
Well at last I have been given the responsibility to administrate our development server. But I would like to start from scratch, instead of trying to find every single package and config the previous admin have ****ed up. But the problem is that it is a remote hosted server with ssh access.
The server is running Debian, but i am thinking of reinstalling it with ubuntu server
